Repressed Evil Twins - v2

Bananifier 380

Synopsis

Here's the deck I'm currently working on. It's shockful of good synergies. The goal is pretty simple : have the runner hit an Archer or a Komainu twice during a single run. The former secures a scoring window, while the latter can flatline.

I've noticed that, while runners tend to have one-shot solutions to scary sentries, they usually cannot deal with two of those in a single run. The setup is not terribly complex, as you can build it incrementally during the game. What you need is The Twins behind Archer/Komainu, and another copy of that ice in your hand. Allele Repression helps you reuse your discarded copies if the runner gets back up after you triggered the combo.

The Details

  • Allele Repression can help you trigger The Twins twice during a single run. Yeah, this is disguting, I know. I love this game :D
  • The Twins synergize well with Caprice Nisei. If you have a copy of the innermost ice in hand, you can trigger Caprice, trigger the twins if you fail the Psi game, and trigger Caprice again.
  • Daily Business Show should help you get your combo pieces and is overall a good include. Possible replacements are Blacklist to protect your komainus from mid-run parasites, or Aggressive Negotiation to get your combo ASAP (though the latter is far better in a PE shell, with Mushin No Shin).
  • I believe that Inazuma does not see enough play. With 5 strength, it is pretty resilient to NRE+Yog, and it is deadly with Archer.
  • From experience, you should either play Allele Repression in a lightly defended remote, or in your scoring remote while you wait for an agenda.

Final Words The deck is still being refined. It was a Personal Evolution build not long ago (to scare the runner away from mushin'ed Allele Repressions), and has evolved into RP for the intensive click tax. And because my testing partners are fearless.

Why no Markus ? it could be great with Inazuma + Recruiting Trip. I think you need more economy to make it viable in RP. And did you think about Biotech with nets ?

I have tried Marcus Batty. I found that it was either subpar or overkill. If you have The Twins in a server, it is pretty much secure. No need for another moving part. Besides, it is another card with a low trash cost, and another slot dedicated to 'utility cards'. It's hard to make room for it.

Thanks for the tip about econ'. I do click for credit quite often. I do not know what to remove, though. I'll think about it.

I did not try Jinteki Biotech: Life Imagined. It would make Komainu stronger, that's for sure. I'll try to stabilize an RP version first, before venturing in Biotech land :)
