Because We Accidentally The Whole Thing

This deck should not work. There is not a reasonable bone in its body. It runs horrible ice. it runs too much econ. There are some cards you look at, and you don't understand why they are there. Expo Grid. Space Camp.

And yet, for some god forsaken reason that I can't quite figure out, it does work. It works very very very well. It is not tier 1. Don't be fooled into thinking you've found a tier 1 deck. Because it might make you think that. Because you'll do this weird thing and win games that you shouldn't. But don't be fooled. I'm pretty sure this is bad. But, there's maybe something here and if you like weyland you should probably investigate it? Maybe? Probably Not?

As near as I can tell, and I'm the one who built this monstrosity, it uses click compression to win. It constructs, slowly, servers that are really really expensive to run. And then, suddenly, without much warning, it just starts scoring points or destroying everything it looks at. It demands running a remote or the remote gets really big. And it demands that the runner do this for about 7 turns in a row, which most runners simply can't do.

I'm pretty sure that melange mining corp is bad. I'm partially sure that the Expo Grids could just be something else. And I might believe that space camp only occasionally pays dividends.

But the thing is, I'm not 100% certain at all. I made this joke as an exercise in putting archangel in a faction other than NBN, and Archangel is fine in the deck but the rest of it is fine too. I don't know. I wish I did. I'm confused.

Here, you figure it out.

No, srsly, the whole thing

I don't see why you think the deck should not work. Econ is fine. Agenda is solid. Asset bait works great for Glaciers. ICE is not particularly expensive and is effectively taxing.
The deck is practically a school book example of asset bait with MMC, Public Support, Corporate Town, and GRNDL Refinery; with Expo Grid giving you credits every turn the runner doesn't go and trash all those assets behind 2-3 medium taxing ICE.
You can certainly improve it, but it's not bad at all.

Maybe? You wouldn't want to rez when you install it because you want them to run it.

@gumonshoe - What about making the ID Gagarin Deep Space: Expanding the Horizon? I might tweak the ICE a bit, but I agree w/ @Treiclon that it's a pretty solid idea so far.

@lroach2 I think there's maybe value there. You have to lose an archangel or a sweeps, which could potentially be a non issue. It also removes one of the largest pressure points of the deck which is the atlas chain.

No Crisium Grid? It's kinda shame not using it in-faction.

I'd agree with switching Melange Mining Corp. for Capital Investors.

Expo Grid is very nice touch. This card usually screams "Gagarin Deep Space: Expanding the Horizon", but with so many ICE there is some room for second remote.

But as always with glacier decks, there will be always situation when your servers will be not taxing enough without Ash 2X3ZB9CY or Caprice Nisei :(

I think Firmware Updates might actually have a place here instead of the hostiles. Sure you can't score it in a turn, but it synergies well with the ID ability, doesn't give you a bad pub and helps save money/clicks on advancing your ice. Without CVS you can't fast advance hostile anyway.

I find Capital Investors weaker in this kind of deck. Melange is more efficient especially if the runner is trashing it the turn after you rez.

Titan without Mark Yale? I guess, if you must :P

I just keep looking at Archangel and thinking: 'What if this was Caprice?'
