Aryab Snakelock v2.0

Ooshkii 85

Arya Snakelock is built on the silly notion that you can throw down an Aryabhata Tech behind a Resistor with a Restructured Datapool scored. If you can manage that... every time you want to click for money, you instead get to make the runner poor and tag them as well. This is what I call the Aryab Snakelock.

In truth, I have been trying to put this together since I saw Aryab. Spark Despotism always seemed a fun idea, but I felt that it didn't have the soul crushing dominance I know NBN has. It wasn't until I happened upon the amazing "SNAKING NEWS" deck that I found the perfect foundation to build upon. In effect, this deck plays exactly the way that I feel NBN should. The runner is more than welcome to run into servers, but it will cost them. Eventually, those costs add up leading to NBN having all the money and all the agenda points.

Looks considerably better than the last version. I think the uroboros might be still quite a joke. I'd almost prefer to see it be a bandwidth to really own on people with keegan, but raven fills that slot kinda.

I think Rutherford Grid could be worth a look, but could be overkill. Bernice could also be a solid add, given the aryabhatas. Even just putting her ON Aryabhata as protection could be too much for the runner to bear.

Maybe it's me but I can't see using archie-bunker tech without trolls. free the trolls!

Rutherford Grid with Caduceus or Viper in early game is brutal to face check, and even after that.

How do you feel about Improved Tracers? It takes Caduceus out of Mimic range (and, sadly, Viper into D4v1d range), but I used that in New Angeles Sol: Your News and Media Blitz (which you're using as well) to some effect. But then again, News Hound is bonkers in that setup...

I've been playing these kinds of semi-tax tag decks for a few years now, on and off, but never exactly refined them (even though they were pretty fun to play with). Good to see them gain awareness in NRDB as well!
