Jinteki: Repondez, s'il vous plait!

IroquoisPliskin 2

This is a new version of a deck i have been running for a while, with some cards added in anticipation of Honor and Profit.

The main idea is that RSVP + (Fetal, NAPD, Caprice, or Future Perfect) gives you a strong (non-yogable), cheap way to prevent agenda theft on both your central and remote servers. Ice and traps slow the runner down while ICE heavily tax their runs on central/remote servers. If possible, keep economic/taxing ICE (Caduceus, Tollbooth, Koimanu, Yagura, Wall of Thorns) as the outermost ice on your centrals so that the runner will have to pay or give you money before running external servers. Any advice on this deck is much appreciated!

I just noticed this myself, but The Future Perfect says "ignore this ability if the Runner accesses The Future Perfect while it is installed."

So, no RSVP synergy by itself unfortunately.

RSVP synergy still works for future when the runner accesses from r&d or hq! But you'll have to defend it on remotes!

Erm.... Komaino is interesting card. On one hand is great in kill decks ( you have no Neural EMPs in this deck, so gl finishing off after they get hit), it's really taxing and all ... but the problem is that it dies so easy to Parasite. Which is a problem for Tsurugi, Katana and Swordsman as well ... >_>

@Dydra The current incarnation of this deck runs Tsurugi, which is pretty good but a tad on the expensive side. Koimanu/Tsurugi are just there to tax the runner late and keep them out early; not kill them. I think I will prefer Koimanu over Tsurugi in the long run because it is cheaper.

Hey y'all I have been thinking a lot about how to tune this deck, any help would be much appreciated. Current changes under review include:

  • putting in a singleton Scorched Earth to punish tags, or perhaps 2 Closed accounts

  • subbing in cheap ETR barriers (Paper Wall?) for the Walls of Thorns

  • Putting in a Grim or Bastion somewhere in lieu of the Wall of Thorns
