Don't tag me bro! (Single Core Set)

JimmyDeemo 1

Do you hate tags? The point of this deck is to give as much tag avoidance/prevention as a single core set can, while not hindering Kate in setting up a decent rig for running. It also has the nice side effect of you being harder to trace, for tags or otherwise.

Firstly has high link potential with Rabbit Hole and Access to Globalsec, coupled with Kates starting link value and The Toolbox if you can pull it. I've splashed Decoy; try to save these to avoid tags on the corps turn, and Crash Space to help rid you of any tags you may have picked up while running.

Finally I tried to have a bunch of econemy cards such that if you need to pay off a trace you can, along with Corroder and Datasucker to make Icebreaking as cheap as possible leaving you with credits in your pool.

Newish player, first deck published. Feedback welcome.

Do you only have the core set? I'd look at gems like Dyson Mem Chip instead of Access to Globalsec, but if we're talking core set only leagues/games, you're pretty darn safe from NBN shenanigans. The other corps may likely not give a hoot however.

Thanks for the comment @Sathoon, that's right I only have one core set and wanted to let similar players know what they can do against tags/traces. Perhaps newer players who have certain cards in their meta.

Personally it's not NBN that have caused me problems, but mostly Wayland with Scorched Earth sometimes in combo with SEA Source.

For those who can branch out though Dyson Mem Chip is a good choice, given that the increased cost isn't likely to impact to much.

As a new player also looking at setting up a core set Kate deck, this looks like a really good bet, provided your friendly opponent promises to play NBN. Have you found this deck robust against other corps, Jinteki particularly? Thanks!

Hey thanks for the comment. Wow this was one of my first decks and boy I think I would change a lot right now. I'd likely swap Crash Space for Special Orders as getting the right i've breaker could become a problem. It also really needs multi access, so perhaps dropping Aesop and Tinker for two Makers Eyes. Access to Globalsec is also probably over kill and could be removed for other meta dependant cards. In my opinion playing against Jenteki with a core set is more about running cautiously. Draw up and run smart. Save Infiltration for Mushin'd servers or those you suspect could be Ronins.
