NBN: Dedicated Tag Team 1.0

DvM_BooM7 7

The roots of this deck stem from wanting to build a tag deck but struggling with two elements. Having to rely on runners mistakes by not clearing tags to punish them, and having to use alot of money to keep them tagged/tag storm them.

So, I ended up with a deck which can tag, steal their money and their cards all in one run. Ice wise data raven always feeds into universal connectivity fee (on which ever central is going to bit hit most, or on the remote you place a NAPD in) though i have recently added information overload with some success. When ever they run into this (UCF) there is an immediate scoring window. Bernice may goes on your other main central server, as a way to get them tagged. Dedicated response team was the answer to alot of my earlier issues. You want to lay down snares and dedicated response teams (placing bernice alongside a dedicated response team works well to) with little to no ice. You ALWAYS want to lay down multiple dedicated response teams at a time.

The dream combo, which isn't that difficult with some good timing, is they run a central, get tagged by data raven, loose their money to universal connectivity fee and then when the run ends get hit by multiple dedicated response teams. The runner ends up with little to no cards, no money, and at least one tag (which they cant clear because they have no money). Note: Dedicated response team isn't there to kill them, it is not scorch! It is there to tax the runner, to set them back and open a scoring window. Which you can maximize because of the inherent fast advance nature of NBN. The deck uses relatively cheap end the run ice to protect melange, dedicated response team or agendas. Character assassination is there to get rid of the source, if they play it, as it can't be prevented so invalidates the fall guy. Then if you are feeling really mean you kill their Kati Jones with freelancer.

This is NBN to there is obviously always going to be fast advance elements but this deck was driven by the desire to build something different with NBN. Any feedback or advance welcome.

I'm pretty sure you would need to rez the Response Teams before the run succeeds - at which point there is a window for the runner to jack out - so whilst you can force the issue somewhat with the UCF - the response teams not so much.

Some way to force the runner to stick around would be neat. Maybe Port Anson Grid or Whirlpool would be the answer? Or - if you're actually crazy - Data Raven > UCF > Susanoo-No-Mikoto which forces the no-jack out. I dunno, running out of ideas there.

Alternatively, it's too late at night for me to coherently remember my timing windows...

I've been looking at doing something very similar. I had never noticed Dedicated Response Team before (I'm still building up my card collection), and it does seem pretty good in this. Manhunt is nice, since it's similar to Bernice, but un-trashable. You can technically have 1 more card and still stay at 22 agenda points; what would you include? I was going to suggest a Caduceus (very taxing, and great with this ID) or Viper (cheap and again, nice with this ID), but all of your influence is spent already. Maybe a Primary Transmission Dish to help even more with traces? I was planning on including a couple of those in my deck to help out.

I am relatively sure that the runner decides where to access or jack out, THEN there is a rez window and at which point I rez dedicated response team and it is too late to jack out.

Last night I had someone run on a snare, decide to access, I rez'd two dedicated response teams and that was game O_o. Very janky play though.

I'm glad to see more non-Astrobiotics NBN decks.Since SanSan cycle would give fast-adv a huge punishment,it's time to figure out another way to play NBN.But I generally feel the econ in this deck cannot afford that much ice and Dedicated Response Team?

DvM_BooM7 is right. No need for the runner cannot jack out cards.
