Dig-Dug Epidemic Noise deck

Dig Dug = Dig the deck with Duggar's! And yeah, also an old game from 1982 :)

Rush through your deck and build your rig up, then when the deck is nearly empty, play the Levy AR Lab Access and rush through the deck a second time just mass installing viruses. Steal the agendas from the archives using Hades Shard.

The first Duggar's deck cycle, setup your rig with the use of all the economic cards. It's important not to throw away the Hades Shard or the Levy AR Lab Access, These are the two most important cards in the deck, Never discard them!

Complete Rig:

Aesop's Pawnshop x 1, Public Sympathy x 3, Cyberfeeder x 3, Scheherazade x 1 Rachel Beckman x1, Djinn x 1.

Important card choices:

  • Duggar's + Levy AR Lab Access - To have the ability to rush trough the deck and to set up your economy engine the the first deck cycle.

  • 3 x Cyberfeeder's, Aesop's Pawnshop, and Scheherazade - This combination is the decks entire economic engine. After a while you're starting to MAKE credits when installing 1-cost viruses and earning even more credits by selling them to Aesop!

  • Hades Shard - KEY CARD in the deck. Speaks for itself! Always save 7 extra credits to be able to access the Archives at the end of the first deck Cycle.

  • Public Sympathy - To be able to keep most of the cards drawn with Duggar's.

  • Rachel Beckman - A nice to have-card. This makes you to be able to play a mass install after a Duggar's.

  • Djinn - You want to play all the Gorman Drip v1's on Djinn and never sell them to Aesop. They make the corp slow down and think before they draw new cards or takes credits.

I think that the rest of the cards are self explanatory. Remember: Never, EVER run unless you have a clear path to the R&D or HQ. The Crypsis is there for absolute emergency's . Only time you have time to run is when you know you can win the game on the run or if you know you're gonna lose if you don't.

This deck can feel a bit slow. Especially when the corp player realizes you never run. Then it becomes a race, who can score the necessary agenda points first! You also need a bit of luck when you play the Hades shard the first time. You might as well win right there and then. If you don't, then it becomes tricky.

I might say that this is not a Tournament deck. More of an experiment. Can you actually win the game without making a successful run?

Try it out for a spin, it is a complete new runner experience, almost like playing the runner like you play a corp. :)

This deck is a cool idea, but I feel stupid for having to ask since you say it's self-explanatory (bit of a newbie here).. besides Hemorrhage and Imp, how do you make the Corp discard agendas? What if they just install them in protected remote servers that you never run on? How are cards like Hemorrhage, Imp, and Datasucker useful if you never make a run? How do you get a clear path to R&D or HQ without cards like Inside Job, or icebreakers?

Sorry about all the questions, I just really want to understand the deck better. Thanks!

Noise special ability makes the corp trash a card from R&D for every virus installed. You can mill agendas to the archive this way.

Huh, you could win without ever running... that's seriously crazy! It almost becomes solitaire, although you kind of have to hope they don't have Cerebral Static, Cronos Project, or Invasion of Privacy. To be fair, I've only ever seen Chronos played out of them .

er.... this deck ... is too slow ... by the time you setup a Rachel Beckman so you Mass Install after Dugger's he already score 4 agendas with 1 astro counter ....

Well, I have tried to play this deck on several occasions and have been somewhat successful. The idea is to not only set up the rig during the first cycle, but also play out as much virus as possible in between. Especially 1-credit viruses. That means the corp will get a lot of trashed cards in the archives even during the first cycle.

But as I said, this is only an experiment to see if it can in fact win without making any runs. This is NOT a tournament deck! And it can work if you're lucky. Remember playing this as if you would have the intention to run. The corp do not know what your style of play is from the start. In approximately 5-6 rounds, you'll have a pretty good rig set up and the mass virus installation madness can begin. Rachel Beckman is not critical to install, she is just a "nice to have" card. The most important thing is that you use your Déjà Vu's to constantly put Cashe's back in play and you will then mill away a lot of cards during the first cycle. If you manage to hit the right cards, it can actually work. Sure, If you play against someone who knows your play style it will probably not work as well. The game requires that the Corp is totally unprepared for the style of play. If they are, you will have at least 2-3 rounds before they realize what they need to do.
