Knights of the NEXT Table

pbrand 272

Knights of the NEXT Table is balanced to handle early-game rush decks (such as Andromeda or Stealth Kit) due to the low cost of NEXT ice and Galahad. It also fares fairly well against late game runners with NEXT Silver on the board with enough Mother Goddess and NEXT Bronze on the table. Mother Goddess counts as NEXT ice so long as there's a NEXT rezzed, so hypothetically NEXT Silver could have 9 ETR subroutines on it, severely taxing all but the most Morningstar'd of runners into the late game.

Use Precognition in combination with Accelerated Beta Test whenever possible. If you accelerate agendas toward the trash can accidentally, use Jackson Howard or Hades Fragment shamelessly.

Create a safe scoring window for Corporate War using program trashing (single out the runner's Fracter) on Aggressive Secretary and Lancelot. Ash 2X3ZB9CY and Corporate Troubleshooter are there to protect your remotes in the mid-game.

It's possible this deck would work more efficiently with 3x Precognition at the expense of subtracting all of the NEXT ice, but that's up to you to branch a new deck.

Enough Mother Goddess

My apologies if I'm taking a poor assumption here, but I'm assuming by this comment you aren't aware that Mother Goddess is unique.

Also, honestly, I don't feel have enough dosh to warrant the triple Corporate War. If you ever rez a Merlin - your cash is in the trash. Whilst the asset economy is strong, you're relying on Successful Demonstration as opposed to Hedge / Restructure - which is always a non surefire move. You simply can't guarantee that money to pull through for you.

I'd maybe consider Project Vitruvius, Gila Hands Arcology, Bifrost Array, or even Efficiency Committee in a deck like this that might benefit from just taking extra clicks for single credit takes after you score it out. (Also to fuel that Blue Level) Naturally, in whatever quantity you feel is appropriate.

  1. MG is unique
  2. These ices pretend to be taxing but aren't (or will be taxing after 8\9 turns) 3.U use only 16/18 ices(i suppose foundry could be a glacier or something like that, so just poor chose of ices. I said 16 cuz mg in unique,so...) 4.in first turn u have no econ (except for that BLUE level clarence, that is also the worst from econ cards, or something like that)

You're right that I overlooked that MG is unique, so I'll edit the description

Personal suggestions (what I'd probably do):

  • Replace Blue Level with Green Level.
  • Remove Precognition; having 1 in your deck gives you such a low chance to pull it off with Accelerated.
  • Consider trading a Successful Demonstration for a Hedge Fund.
  • -1 Mother Goddess (so you rez one, get the other to fill HQ and avoid dead draws) and definitely consider using Architect. I've played against Architect in Foundry, and its scary (so many uses, especially with all your assets and upgrades!)
  • Ever consider Will'O'theWisp in this deck? With your potential economy (and Architect) you can probably have it fire several times.

I'm considering trying out Foundry with a deck like this! Let us know how it goes.
