Jinteki - Core Set

My first attempt at deckbuilding for Android: Netrunner. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Please keep in mind I only own 1 copy of the core set so far.

Economy in the core set is rough for the corps, especially Jinteki. I can see you've tried to overcome this with Beanstalk Royalties and Adonis Campaign.

I'm wondering what use Research Station is to you. If you were to drop it, you could add a third Beanstalk Royalties and maybe swap out one of the Wall of Thorns for an Ice Wall as Wall of Thorns is expensive for what it does. This leaves you a card short. I'd add another PAD Campaign. This is good econ and can tax the runner. They either have to lose 4 credits whilst you only lose 1, or let your econ issues disappear.

Melange Mining Corp. is on of your strongest econ assets in the core set. Whilst Adonis Campaign is one of my favourite cards, I would reccomend swapping these two as to free up influence for the other main issue.

I notice that in your deck, Code Gates aren't really ending the run. You're relying on there being other ICE to pump. There are only actually 12 pieces of ICE in your deck that stop the runner, which is quite low, especially when you're going to be spending multiple turns to score each Agenda. Personally, I would swap out Cell Portal and a Chum for three copies of Tollbooth - this card is the All Star Code Gate of the core set. It is the only End The Run ICE that beats Yog.0 and it is incredibly taxing. It is also a target for Priority Requisition.

Oh, I almost forgot! I'd take out the other Chum and two Wall of Thorns for three Snare!. This card is basically the reason to play Core Set Jinteki.

Great info, thank you very much! I'll play around with your suggestions and see what I can come up with :)

@NinjaLemon007 is definitely write about the Snares, those are the bread and butter.

Tollbooth would be tough to fit in here unless you cut the Adonis Campaigns--but Booth is probably the best "big" ice in the game.

I will say, not to discourage you, that I think Jinteki is worst identity out of the core box simply because the agendas are tough--you don't have any 3/2 or 2/1's which make the core identity card so much better. If you enjoy Netrunner and want to play Jinteki, spend the 20 bucks on the Honor and Profit set.

Thanks for the feedback Oisin. I have the deck posted on Reddit as well and plan on incorporating all the feedback to make some tweaks tonight. As for Jinteki being the worst in the core set, that's kinda the point. I'm a sucker for doing things the hard way :p

So... how do I delete this old published deck? I found the button for deleting it from my private decks, but can't find any way to remove this published version...
