Pyjam 523

Version 2 :

2x High-Risk Investment ➜ 3x Geothermal Fracking : HRI was unscorable if not in the beginning. Geo is scorable with 2 Trick of Light. Also the Runner cannot win by stealing only 3 agendas.

3x NAPD Contract ➜ 3x Glenn Station : More thematic. + Easier to score even if Hostile Takeover has been scored before. + Can host an agenda for protection.

+1x Reclamation Order : the obvious way to replay the Trick of Light.

+2x Builder : I have doubts about this card but it has proved to be awesome, seriously. One of its unexepected uses is that it can be moved to provide protection against Inside Job. In some cases I have used Wormhole to mimic Builder to add a counter to itself !

Bye bye Chimera, Rainbow, Mother Goddess, and Errand Boy. Errand Boy is too porous. Too often an Atlas has been stolen in R&D because EB can't stop the run.

+2x Changeling : because a str-4 sentry that ends the run is priceless.

+2x Quandary : because this deck needs some cheap stoppers the Wormhole will mimic.

How to play :

The basic idea is to place advancement counters on your pieces of ice to strengthen them (Fire Wall) or reduce their rez cost (Wormhole), then to use these counters to fast advance the agendas with Trick of Light. You will use Shipment from SanSan to advance the ices, not the agendas.

If there is a scoring server, it's only in the beginning when the Runner isn't yet installed.

In the best case, you overscore an Atlas with 5 advancement counters. That gives 3 agenda counters. Now, if the Runner fails to steal an Atlas from R&D you're unstoppable. Use 2 counters to tutor an Atlas + a ToL and score it. Do it again. Then tutor Hostile Takeover. Game over.

If you cannot do that, there will be more sport. Use your ices to protect the centrals, and score the agendas from hand with one or two ToL. Reuse them with Reclamation Order and/or Jackson.

I liked the first version, and I like the changes. Very cool Weyland FA deck. I like the synergy with the ice. I am surprised to hear that you didn't like Errand Boy, it seems like a beefed up Pop-up Window.

Thanks for the kind words.

Errand Boy is a little expensive for a popup, and I really don't want to lose an Atlas because it doesn't stop the run.

Where's your Nebula? And have you tried Asteroid Belt over Fire Wall?

Also, Titan without Mark Yale or Firmware Updates?

With the existence of Fire Wall, I think Asteroid Belt is weak. Why limiting my walls to strength 6 when Fire Wall has no upper limit ?

OTOH, I think Nebula is a possibility but for the moment I prefer Wormhole.

I've tried Firmware Updates and I appreciated it. But Hostile Takeover is really more important because it's scorable from hand or even from R&D without a Trick of Light.

Mark Yale isn't really necessary. I would never sell my Atlas counters to him. The counters on Geothermal Fracking already provides credits by themselves. And Hostile Takeover and Glenn Station with only one counter doesn't justify the presence of Mark Yale.

@DrunkenGineer : You were right. Asteroid Belt is the right choice. The last build uses 3 of them instead of Fire Wall. They're immune to derez.
