Stronger Geek Squad

Purely theoretical deck that I can't wait to try.

There are a few ideas at play here:

  1. Get ridiculous efficiency out of pumped-up Bioroids with ID ability + Lag Time. On centrals, they will be clicking through your Ichi, Eli, and Victor or suffering some pretty taxing break costs.
  2. Use Efficiency committee tokens in really scary ways.
    • Imagine: Install + Rez IT Dept, Pump, Pump, Pump, Pump, Pump. On the runner's next turn you can now pump ice for a total of (5+4+3+2+1) 15 strength.
    • Install & Use Melange
    • Use Celebrity Gift and still have plenty of clicks left to do stuff, like install + advance something.
  3. Refresh EC with Bifrost (would really like 3 in here somehow). If you get unlucky and cant draw EC, Corporate War and Wotan are still worth refreshing.
  4. Discourage clicking through bioroids by putting a chum in front and pumping up its strength.

My guess is you are going to have to hand over an agenda here and there to open scoring windows for yourself, especially since there are no real surprises in the deck. This deck revolves around messing with runner's math, rather than tricking them into a trap.

Ash should help you score Wotan or the first EC. I imagine once you get either of those two out it should be easier to open up scoring windows.

Potential Weaknesses:

  • D4v1d
  • Femme + Clicking through remotes
  • Siphon (we can't really stop it, though they will likely have tags leftover).

Would love everyone's thoughts and suggestions.

As a matter of principle, why would Chum discourage clicking through? If they were going to click through, there is 0 penalty to just ignoring the Chum, letting it fire and clicking through anyway.

Oh you're totally right. For some reason I had it in my head that clicking through wasn't "breaking". Oh well, means there is room for some cool other ice.

Chum into a bioroid will encourage click throughs, not discourage them. They will let your boosted chum fire, then break the following bioroid with clicks. Heinlein Grid is a possible way to punish clicking through.

I've tried in the past to get Heinlein Grid to work in tandem with Haas-Bioroid: Stronger Together with mixed results. The idea was to make it expensive to break using an icebreaker, and super expensive to break with clicks.

But maybe taking a page from your book and using IT Department, that idea could make a comeback.

Sorry for redundancy, I started typing it when there were no comments, then finished a few hours later without checking :)
