Grids and Grails

Sixtyten 72

Updated for the Source. Excalibur added to finish off the grail suite. Flare removed due to cost issues. Added Errand boy and crisium grid in exchange for green level clearance. benefit may depend on matchup, but another 3 sub piece of ice is also useful.

Is crisium just here to nerf criminal run events and sec testing? Or is there other synergy that i am missing?

Since playing your first version and modifying it, I also stuck a Errand Boy in. Have yet to use it, but I imagine it being great. How many games do you find a use for Midway Station Grid?

@holding Crisium Grid is useful against Eater.

@kollapse I have not played this deck (yet), but I would think that Midway Station Grid would be well placed on R&D against Eater decks, seeing as they can't access cards.

Beyond that, I see it as an upgrade that costs 4 to rez to be able to:

  • tax the Runner 4 extra
  • PLUS 4-6 extra on a 2 ICE-deep server
  • TOTAL EXTRA credits taxed: 8-10 (don't forget to add the 4-6 that the ICE subroutines already cost and any strength matching).

So a server with Merlin and Galahad (and 2 pieces of Grail ICE in hand) costs 6 in subroutines.

With a Midway Station Grid on that same server, that run now costs 12, plus 4 if the Runner wants to destroy the Midway Station Grid.

I think this works nicely.

@Sixtyten how has the deck been doing?

@Fl3xbyts bit late to the party mate my comment is from jan 2nd, way before o&c.

I've only played it in a couple of limited o&c games. Recently it went 2/3 in a tournament but that was partly due to r&d vomiting agendas. I think I might switch to NEH or Blue Sun for more influence post o&c...
