First ever SC win, so I thought Id share. Piloted to 4-0 over the tourney vs Kate, Kit, and two Gabes. Three Scorch wins, one Janus flatline. Private Contracts for extra money, and Wendigo as a cheap temporary solution to keeping my opponents from Sneak Door/ Medium running me. I think I might want to try to fit The Twins in someplace once I get OaC, but otherwise Ive had a lot of fun running this decks over the last couple months, doing well with it regularly.

If you're using wendigo on archives to stop sneakdoor, I think you're doing it wrong. The run was initiated before you hit wendigo. It would work on nerve agent or HQI though.

Ah, good ole Janus 1.0. I play a similar deck with 1 Midseason Replacements, one SEA Source, two Data Ravens, and one Information Overload. As much as I like an IO with 12 subroutines on it, the idea of surprise rezzing a Janus is pretty cool.

@x3r0h0ur Could be. I was going off the fact that it has an if successful clause, but I definitely could be wrong. Fortunately I havent actually needed it for that yet. @Oisin I tried the regular Keystone (Which I guess I should put in the Inspiration part)when looking for how to build a Blue Sun deck, but didnt like that most of my influence was going to several one ofs, making it hard to predict if I would pull them in any given game (aside from Atlas). I swapped in Janus as a big deterent from the runner trying to tax me a click every turn by making me reinstall Curtain Wall to get my credits back.

If all your wins are via flatlining, maybe NAPD Contract is worth considering?

@semaphores I had considering swapping those in for the Geothermal Fracking (and then taking Mills out since I would only be taking at most one point of BP), but Im not really running that much econ in the deck, so the ability to score the GF and get money from them was what led me to keep them. If youve got other econ suggestions, I would welcome them. All the wins in this tournament were flatlines, but I have played it to several 7-pt victories as well. Just didnt happen this time.

Could you talk about the decision to use x2 Private Contracts over something like Restructure? Did Adonis Campaign merit consideration? I've been running Blue Sun for a while but struggling with the correct choices for econ. Mine has NAPD Contract over Geothermal Fracking, so economy slots are essential.

Im actually not a big fan of Restructure. Hedge Fund is managable cause it only takes 5 to be able to use, but I felt like 10 was too high, especially when Im not running that many econ cards. For example, if I dont draw another econ card on turn 1, it could be 3-4 turns before I can get to 10, unless Im just clicking for credits. Corporate War isnt that popular (though, it might be a good sub in this deck for Geothermal. Hmmm...), partially cause of not being able to guarentee its payoff. Thats how I feel about Restructure.

I had considered Adonis Campaign, but I knew I wanted to include Janus and SEA Source, so I didnt have much room for it. I like the free money for no clicks, but there are times when Ive got my Scorch combo in hand already and I just need to wait for another agenda to come up for me to score or for my opponent to run, so I might as well have something to do on those other than click for $1. That led me to Private Contracts.

PC has a 5 trash cost, and in my experience playing the deck, it seems like most people write it off as something not worth trashing, at least til after I pull it back up the first time. Effectively, after rezzing it at the beginning of my turn, its a two-full turn Magnum Opus (taking 12 of the 14) and then pulling it back to get my 3 back. With the trash cost being so high, it also serves as a nice decoy (aside from Jackson) to lure my opponents into running on a server they thing ive just installed an agenda in (and might possibly have a Janus in front of).
