The Real Tollbooth (First Place O&C Tournament Corp)

Dread Sovereign 298

The Real Tollbooth is here I Have never been very good at explaining the in and outs of my corp decks, so I'm just going to explain a few key choices.

  1. Architect, One of these on Archives is a great Play against Eater decks, it can't be trashed so they can either pay and not access, or not pay and basically let you move agendas(If any) into you Expensive scoring server. Also good on R&D.

  2. Executive Boot camp, a good counter vs Bad Pub decks and Roja. It lets you rez your ice outside of the runner runs so Black Mail and the Queen doesn't ruin your day, Its also useful outside of that matchup as its a killer card.

  3. Only four ops? Edward kim is killer, after looking at all my corp decks I decided that they were all pretty terrible if they were running no operations, Blue sun can't rez Curtain wall and ETF couldn't fast advance those 3/2s, its actually one of the reasons I decided to run this deck. as your economy basically runs of of assets no operations are needed, so with only four ops Kim is less of a big deal.

  4. Crisium Grid, If you have one of these on Hq and one on R&D, no Eater deck is going to win against you (Provided you have more than one piece of ice and each server) its also as Anti-criminal as you can get out of a card, and I hate criminals....

  5. Ash, this keeps kept getting swapped with red herring, before I realized with all they money you have you can usually boost ash and make it more expensive than five credits, and probably rez it for one credit with Boot camp, with the whole credit to access remote cards, running in trashing the ash and running again is very expensive.

  6. Trick of Light, usually for scoring that 5/3 although you could one turn a atlas for the win or to kill a particularly annoying current (Protestors being the only runner current)

This deck went undefeated all day, although this may be due to most Anarch decks running eater/silver ware which sucks and the rest of the competition has nothing new and is still easily outmatched and outmathed by the corp. Hey, thanks for sharing the deck and congrats on the win!

One question I had is how did you find Glenn Station? How often did you use its ability and on what usually? I haven't looked on it favorably, so I was interested to seeing you running it at 3x.

Its useful for keeping those 5/3s out of the game until you have a real scoring window, also if your against a bad pub deck running raymond flint, your going to want to move agendas away from your hand, same against wanton destruction, its just nice to have other options other than the scoring server.

Where are you getting all this money from? Was nobody trashing PAD or Contracts?

Not really, I think its much easier to win if they do trash everything though, even Wizard had a tough time against this.
