Glitch 385

This deck is looking to make the most out of Hayley's ability and capitalizing on click efficiency. I'm trying to run as many installable cards as possible, so the events are spread very thin.

First choice was breaker suite. I contemplated trying to use singleton copies of breakers, in order to fire Hayley's ability, but decided against it for a couple of reasons. The first was redundancy; I didn't want to include breakers that were just going to become outclassed. Second was availability in my grip; I just couldn't rely on having programs in my grip each time I installed one, nor could I reasonably assume that there would be another breaker in my hand that I wanted to install that wasn't already on the board. I decided that I would go with the bare minimum, and immediately thought of Sage. Two breakers in one without being AI is about as efficient as it gets. This lead me to a sentry breaker. My first tests were using Chameleon, but that quickly became gimmicky. I settled on using Mimic and Overmind.

Now I needed something to power both Sage and Overmind. I'm not a big fan of Dinosaurus, so the next best thing was adding as much MU as quickly as possible. MemStrips and Deep Red were perfect. I needed a bunch of MU, but didn't really need to use any of it. Clone Chip was added to recur Deus X and Overmind. I needed some deep dig, so added R&D and HQ Interface. Replicator just sort of fit into the deck in its own to help to quickly get the deck moving.

With all of these programs and pieces of hardware, Personal Workshop and The Supplier were added to bring down costs and get Hayley's ability firing before spending my first click of the turn. Next up was economy. I went with Armitage Codebusting over Magnum Opus to save MU space. Data Folding became obvious once I added all of that extra MU. Daily Casts was added because it's just too damn good, especially with The Supplier. After realizing that I have a ton of cards that will become pointless to have on the table once I'm set up, Aesop's Pawnshop was added to regain my money.

Diesel and Quality Time were an obvious choice for much needed draw power. I thought about using Earthrise Hotel for an extra install, but felt that the events were a much better choice.

The deck is still in testing, so I would love to hear some comments and critiques.

I must admit, I have been trying to make a sage deck work for quite some time, so this one has really interested me. The deck looks alright, however I seem to have some questions:

1) What do you use Replicator for? For firing off Hayley Kaplan: Universal Scholar ability? For deckthinning?

2) Do you feel that you have enough money? This deck seems to be quite low on it and, while the breakers are OK, Overmind costs a lot to pump and Sage gets stomped by multiple-sub ice, such as NEXT Silver.

3) What do you use Aesop's Pawnshop for? For used Armitage Codebusting and Daily Casts, and Overminds? Do you feel that it brings enough money?

Thanks for the interest! To answer your questions:

1) Replicator is used to help set up both your MemStrips and R&D Interface. To be honest, my original build was using LLDS Processor with Chameleon as well, so Replicator was essential. It may become unnecessary in later testing, but so far just grabbing those MemStrips so you can run sooner has been a big help.

2) On its own, the money pool has just been OK, though I also consider both The Supplier and Personal Workshop economy as well since they both save on install costs. If you can find The Supplier in your opening hand, it really helps push the econ further, but I have found that it can be a tad rocky when you have to pay the full 3 for Daily Casts and Data Folding. Also, if I come up against reasonable strength, multi-sub ice like NEXT Silver, I can just use Overmind to break it, but I completely see your point on how much that would hurt Sage as my lone barrier breaker. Any suggestions on how I can remedy this?

3) Aesop's Pawnshop is also used to recoup money from Replicator, Self-modifying Code, The Supplier and Personal Workshop once they are no longer needed as well.

Great minds think alike I suppose lol. I've been working on a very similar deck but with Chaos Theory, and I had a thought that it could work with Hayley as well. I also think it would work with Nasir, but he'd need some extra support from things like Lockpick.

Anyway, like you, I considered The Supplier and Personal Workshop but decided against the supplier and went all in with Personal Workshop so that I could dump my MemStrips and Deep Red onto it, make a run, and have a 'buffer' if I needed to increase Sage's strength for the run. I'm also running Modded, so that helps when I need something right now. PW also allowed me to preload things like HQ/R&D Interfaces and give me the option of paying for what I need/what I can, get in as cheaply as possible and save the credits if I run into something I can't break through.

Again, like you, I'm also running Deep Red over Dinosaurus with Sage (for many reasons), but I am just running one. I feel it's basically a 1 credit less option over MemStrips that can't be retrieved by Replicator anyway.

I'm also really liking Replicator for completing the access cards (HQI/R&DI) and all the memory from MemStrips to power Overmind and Sage.

I would suggest e3 Feedback Implants for multisub ICE. You don't need to get it out right away, so I run 1x Trade-in and 1x e3. Like you, I use Overmind to break weaker, multi-sub ICE, and it works really well.

I was originally waffling between Garrotte and Creeper for my sentry breaker (Femme seemed a bit overkill, and I'm hesitant to use her now with Blue Sun), but after a few plays, I thought Mimic might be a good choice instead of either of those. Glad to see that you had a similar thought, so I've switched my killer to that.

I haven't thought of running Aesop's, probably because I don't feel that there are many targets for it that I'd want to give up, and I'm running Trade-in, so it would probably limit its usefulness.

Another option I've considered but haven't tested was Datasucker. Have you tried that out at all? And with all the recursion, I can't help but think Parasite will put in some good work, but I haven't tested that either. It might be a bit redundant with Overmind.

Anyway, here's my current build after testing I've done so far and the change to Mimic. Not ready to publish yet as I'm still waiting for O&C in my country. I've just been playing with proxies at home:

Overall, how are you finding piloting it? I've been testing against a few NBN rush/FA decks to see how quickly I can get my rig out, and I'm trying to find the best balance for keeping the corp busy before I'm fully set up. But with things like Data Folding, I imagine this deck would tend to favour longer games.

looks like the formatting messed up, and I can't edit my post, sorry about that. Hope the deck is not too unreadable :/

@dr00 so far I'm really loving playing this deck, though I haven't tested it a lot yet. I have some high hopes for it against FA, since the deck sets up really quickly usually, but I haven't been able to test it against any FA decks as of yet.

I 'm sorry, hadn't been in my account for a while. To answer your question about the economy option - maybe switch out both Deep Reds and and HQ interface for 2 e3 Feedback Implants?
