The Viral Hammer

Exo 355

This is the deck that I've used to win my small local tourney of five person. The deck was undefeated on the day. The flexibility of playstyle is what make it strong. You can do a lot of damage early on and still have fuel on the long run. Lamprey/Medium/Sneakdoor/Knight along with Kim's ability gives a lot of opportunity to hit hard. SMC make this idea shine a lot more.

The economy engine can be monstrous. A Day Job into a Liberated Account net you 18 credits in about 2 turns and a click. I don't think any of my deck was able to make that much money that much quickly and that often.

On that, it is not perfect, it have flaws like any other deck. The thing is that I wanted to cover its flaw but it ended up been less aggresive and opportunist and it wasn't fitting my playstyle as a runner. That been said, it's not a early all in deck. You can take your time getting your econ up trying to snipe agenda here and there, this is how I won in a match against Blue Sun. I guess we could say that it's a Gabe-like deck but more disruptive with a credits engine more passive.

A more well rounded version and less opportunist would be: -1 SMC, +1 Atman, -1 I've Had Worse, +1 Utopia Shard, -1 Demolition Run, +1 Knifed, -2 Knight, +1 Corroder, +1 Mimic.

Lamprey is much better than people seems to think, at least it was for me. If you can get into HQ, you can trash their operations and remove a cred each time. Sometimes 1-2 creds can enough to open your way into another server or throw away their next turn play. Here's a exemple of one of my games:

In one game against Tennin the corp goes install R&D, draw, take a credit. I guess he was hoping for a second ICE. I installed Lamprey first turn and start drained the corps credits down to 3. This opened my way on R&D with Medium because he couldn't rez the Architect that was protecting it. I also trashed a Snare! that he couldn't affort. Suddently the corp was in a hurry to stop me accessing HQ and she needed to purge to kill Lamprey. Next turn she ICEd up HQ and took a few creds. Then I installed my SMC and fetched Sneakdoor Beta into play. For there, it basically gave me the win in a few turns. Forcing the purge in the wrong timing can be devastating.

At the tourney, Demolition Run was a Showing Off. I forgot to replace it but it make me won me a game. I still tend to think Demo Run is stronger because it's immune to the effect of Crisium Grid and you can trash any upgrades during the process. It can be a meta call too because Showing Off is better against Daily Business Show that would attempt to survive a Medium lock and might make you win games a little faster. It will fall for Crisium Grid thought.

I think the deck is pretty good but I need to test it even more(I've done around 11 games or somethings). I also want to try a lot more things with Kim.

I think I just found my favorite runner that's going keep me in love with running for a long time again.
