I find the idea sound (it's a waste not to use that extra link), but how is the tempo? You don't much when it come to card draw except for IHW, but in some games you want to keep that in hand...

@Weezel It's a little slow setting up the econ is costly and time consuming as i kinda expected, once 3 are up its very good however.

Knight go's to good use speeding up the deck and keeping early pressure going.

The extra link go's to use with the spinal modem as well as Underworld Contracts and saving MU with ZU.13 Key Master am not sure what else i could do with it?

Well the first things that pops up into mind is to take Vigil instead of Spinal Modem. It's cheaper and either makes HQ access better or gives you a card. You will only mis the 2 . So that brings the question: How much do you need those recurring credits. Either that or I would add Inject, but that also needs program recursion which you don't have.

The Spinal Modem really helps boost the econ of the deck so long as am running its like having 2x underworlds down. Vigil is nice i had it in my previous Ed deck however i feel the spinal go's better here it makes use of the extra link in a way & helps with draw if i get John out.

Tbh i was thinking about running a version with The Toolbox in and trying that it gives more MU and Link so activates both of the drip econ and would mean i wouldn't need some of the other cards. I would like to hear your views on that idea?

Fair point, this deck is clearly in it for the long haul, so you can easily make the money back. The Toolbox is an awesome card, but do you think you can take another tempo hit.? Even though it brings multiple cards into 1, you do need 9 to install it, while with Access to Globalsec you only need 1 to start the first drip econ engine. A nice midway might be Dyson Mem Chip instead of Access to Globalsec. It's cheaper, gives you MU and link.

When I think about it, it brings you the question what you rather want:

  • The Toolbox: Less card intensive, lets you add in other stuff, but ask 9 upfront. Or

  • Dyson Mem Chip: Adds MU and link into one (instead of Access to Globalsec which is only link), less money upfront and has everything more spread out (so bigger chance of drawing it earlier).

It is also important to try and not go too much over the 2 needed for Data Folding. Anything more is actually a waste of investment.

I think Toolbox is an idea worth trying. Although it is hard to think of things to remove for it. I guess maybe: -3 Access To Globe, -2 Spinal, -1 Legwork, -1 Special order, +2 Toolbox, +2 Nerve Agent, +1 Medium, 2x Deja Vu? I would also remove John Masanori and Hemorrhage for 2x Inject. 4 cards upfront is IMO way more useful than the 1 or 2 you will earn per turn (or sometimes nothing and a tag). In my eyes John is a great sustain card, but inject accelerates. With Deja Vu or maybe even Retrieval Run you can compensate for the few programs you might trash.

I think the hostage and helpful would be the first cards to go for 2x toolbox since i this would keep the chance of hitting link the same id probably drop the memstrips 2 since theirs gonna be alot of extra MU. maybe change the access for dysons though thats another tempo hit. this saves 4 cards so i could go for 2 injects and 2 deja vu's. I think your right though it will probally be 2 slow this way but i need to try it first really.
