Cerebral Sage 1.0

Sage combined with both high memory (Memstrips/Akamatsu) and e3 Implants makes for an extremely high amount of pressure on all servers, with Creeper to fill in the gaps.

Toolbox gives just enough link for Creeper to function without MU, two strength for Sage and recurring credits for Sage, payng for itself almost instantly.

Data Folding and Daily Casts provide drip economy, while also using burst economy such as "Gamble for Days," (Cache/Aesops) and Sure Gamble.

Diesel and Professional Contacts are our main card draw, with a single Levy AR Lab Access to reset if a game goes on for a while.

I will gladly test any suggestions and post results.

Tested:

Replicator- With Chaos Theory already having a 40 card minimum, and Diesel + ProCon for draw, i don't need this to tutor more MU. I never find myself without enough MU.

Inside Man- Unless i got this turn one or two it didn't pay off, so i need to run three of them to make it work. I have to take out integral parts of the well oiled machine to make it work, so i left my inside man and never looked back.

Underworld Contact- I honestly really enjoyed this instead of Data Folding, my only problem was it relied on The Toolbox for the link, so if i got it early it was a dead card until i drew into a Toollbox, whereas i could plop down a Data Folding turn one and get the credit until the end of the game.

Dinosaurus- It came down to this or Toolbox. They both give around the same level of benefits but if i get Sage out before Dino, i'd need to use a scavenge or uninstall to reset sage onto the dino, which i don't have card slots for.

I run a similar CT deck with Sage and Overminds, however it didn't work out well...Sage is just too expensive for 2 and even the cheapest ICE becomes taxing. Overminds worked a bit better but still...not very happy about Sage at all.

@Trypios e3 Implants help with the cost a ton, as does Toolbox. The cost is also made up for by the fact that I don't have to pay to boost the strength of Sage more than once: Memstrips and Akamatsu provide a 1-1 ratio of cost power, permamaently.

I know, check my deck as well, there are about 15 free and an e3 Feedback Implants. But still, small ICE like Paper Walls, Quandaries etc cost more than usual.

Would you suggest maybe Magnum Opus, considering I have more than enough MU?

not sure...I abandoned that deck, but seeing yours, I got inspired and made alterations to mine. I'll tell you if it worked.

After some testing, I've found my econ is amazing without MO. Glad to be an inspiration. This actually used to be an overmind deck but I saw a reddit post on a sage theory deck that inspired me to reboot that deck.

There don't seem to be many targets for Aesop's Pawnshop. With Cache alone, you could choke on econ unless stars are aligned. Have you considered Daily Casts or even Armitage Codebusting?

OK, obviously Daily Casts is already in there. The rest should remain :P

Targets for Aesop's: Daily casts (gives one more credit, isn't amazing, but it adds up.) Akamatsu memchip is the equivalent of a magnum opus click. And data folding is more of an investment of credits, I almost always get back through Aesop's.

I don't understand why everyone is worried about my econ. I've found my econ to be amazing. Once your "MU rig" gets set up all you need is (# of subroutines) + 1 for barriers and code gates. With all the money I save on those, I can easily pump up creeper.

Mother Goddess stops you cold, and I'd be worried about damage. Some Public Sympathy might be in order. A bigger hand size would improve your consistency while providing some damage resistance.

Wouldn't mother goddess gain the other subtypes of any barriers/codegates/sentries that are rezzed, giving me access? I think you're right about hand size, Im always spending turn 1/2 using ProCon to find my pieces, and have to discard quite a bit.

Mother Goddess does not do what I thought it did... Good thing you made me re-read it. It's too bad Origami wouldn't work with this deck as it's a lot better than Public Sympathy, but I think PS is the way to go.

Honestly origami could work, I almost never have to use all my MU for strength (Orion with three patches is really the only reason I'd need to.)

3 Mar 2015 FarCryFromHuman

The influence cost is the real issue.

Oh, forgot origami wasn't green. My bad.
