One Man's Treasure

whiterabbit 38

This is my first attempt at a somewhat serious Shaper rig. The one thing I lack right now is multi-access, but I don't know if I can fit it in 45 cards, or just make the deck bigger.

Love the concept. Worried that Professional Contacts is too slow an econ engine against Fast Advance.

Maybe a one of Magnum Opus?

MU also seems a little low. What's the target of for Dinosaurus?

Likely Femme Fatale. But I suppose it's whatever I need most at the time. Swap out Sacrificial Construct for chips?

I feel like there is too much going on here, with not enough focus.

  1. What is the point of Autoscripter? Most of your installs will come from the heap, in the form of Clonechips or Scavenges or Test Runs no? This doesn't trigger Autoscripter :(

  2. What is the point of Sacrificial Construct? With LLDS, don't you want your 1-shot breakers to be thrown out, so that you can then scavenge them for +3 Strength and a draw (Exile) ?

  3. For anyone with 1 Link, I love playing Dyson and Zu. 3 credits basically gets you a link and 2 MU, and the normal downside of Zu having to pay a ton to get through high STR codegates is negated by LLDS on turns where you bring it in.

  4. Atman and LLDS, I feel like these two don't really work together. When you install it, it will be forced to gain +X from LLDS, so you'll have to set the strength to whatever you are trying to break, but then on following turns, you'll need Datasuckers to make up the difference.

  5. I feel like the use of Faerie is awkward as well. With LLDS, Mimic doesn't really get shafted by its fixed strength, and datasuckers can pick up the slack if you haven't played your LLDS yet, so you could totally break an Archer with it if you really needed to.

Overall, I think dumpster gamble is probably still better than this, but I haven't played either so I might be wrong!

I think there's good ideas here with Autoscripter and Uninstall (also, I am always happy to see LLDS) in a deck. But for the reasons lopert mentioned, I don't think this should be an Exile deck (that is, the lack of synergy with Test Run, Clone Chip, and Scavenge hurts). I'd put this on the back burner til Chameleon comes out.

I don't see uninstall ever working. Uninstall takes a click, then you get a click back when you install a program, for a net of +0, meaning you've paid 3/6 inf and 3 credits for something that gives you +0. I'd rather just scavenge the program, as that way I don't have to pay for it, and I get a card from Exile.

I hate to say it but I think autoscripter / savoir-faire combo could be more legit in an Iain / Bagbiter deck :P

Dammit. Do I have to rebuild the good version of Iain? The one with Calling in Favors for 10+ credits?
