Twin Net

Kevoun 227

Bit of a rush deck, trying to get a Nisei Mk II on the table to never advance with the corp power. With a bad opening hand I might consider the archives shuffle or with twins+cortex/komainu I might pick the net damage. Once I have a Nisei token, hopefully I can use Caprice + Token to chain Resequencing or another Nisei Mk II. The Clones turn on Archer and Archer+twins. Power Shutdown helps to turn Cortex lock back on and clear out faeries for an archer play.

Precognition is a bit of a pet card.. just giving it a go but I find it pretty useful.

Wow, I love the ideas your going with...

I would have never came to this, have u been testing yet...?

@SlySquid, no I'm waiting for the OCTGN rez. I'm worried about money but I can swap precog for some more asset economy I think if it comes to that.

Uggh, the Twins + Archer.

I see a lot of power our of the quad advance, but less out of the other two abilities in this deck. I guess you can pop the tank to get ICE/Ops back and to lessen the pain of Power Shutdown.

Not really seeing any use for the double net damage flip though. Aside from a lucky hit.

Cool ideas. Interested to see how it works.

@Myriad Personally the double net seems the weakest and the quad advance seems the strongest to me, so I skewed the deck toward that.

I'm working on a kinda similar deck (no twins, but basically a Jinteki rush deck with Power Shutdown) and I think the two net side is a decent option against crims, who probably aren't splashing I've Had Worse, and are likely to aggressively hit that Snare.

They'd have to be running like a madman to end their turn with 1 card in hand, particularly against this ID. I'm still mulling over a shell game version of Biotech though.

While you can build the ID any other way, I think if you want to get the most out of the ID you have to be able to threaten all three of its abilities.

This one does a good job of embracing two of them though and is worth testing! And if your playing against this ID/player without knowledge of their deck you pretty much have to honor the 2 net, although you might figure it out quickly in the game.

I agree, at first blush the double net seems the weakest. But it is also one of the only ways to hit a runner with net outside of running.

Definitely agree with your point about threatening all three and the versatility of Biotech is what has me intrigued with the ID.

I'm so pumped for this pack to drop so I can get testing :D

How has Precognition worked out for you? I could see myself dropping it for either Medical Research Fundraiser (or some other econ card in general) or maybe even another net damage card like Hokusai Grid for some attrition.

Also, Archer + The Twins doesn't work as well as intended here, because the Runner needs to pass the ice in question before The Twins can fire. Archer ends the run, so the subroutines would probably not fire twice.

@cranked Swapping precog for some utility or more econ makes sense, I just like to set up for certain turns in advance. Usually this is when I want to score a Clone Retirement, when I want to Celebrity Gift without revealing influence, or when I want to make a remote play and not defend R&D as much.

The Twins with Archer is more because people tend to break it with Faerie, Sharpshooter, or D4v1d and aren't expecting to have to encounter again. I think in practice I went a little heavy on the Twins play though.

A few swaps for me would be -2 twins, -1 precog, +1 Successful Demonstration, +1 Corporate Troubleshooter, +1 Mental Health Clinic I think. A Cyberdex Virus Suite would likely be useful. I have found Hokusai to be useful defense against Eater shenanigans in other builds.
