The Wall

I have been playing a "Big Money, Big Ice" Weyland deck for a while now. One thing I have noticed is that most runners in my meta run Corroder as their only Barrier breaker. Since Corroder resets after every ICE, the runner will have to pay through the nose for breaking multiple Barriers on a server. So, until runners in my area start playing with Battering Ram, Morningstar, or Snowball, it's Wall to Wall Walls at Weyland's Wall Emporium! I especially like Wall of Thorns in this deck, since it is a Str 5 barrier with 2 subs, and the surprise of net damage in Weyland can be a shock to runner expecting to just get bounced out. I've included one copy of Tollbooth in the deck to keep the runner honest, and actually force them to put out their Decoder. Archer and Ichi 1.0 are excellent surprise ICE.

Omg we published almost the same deck the same day at the same date ^^ The idea must be in the air XD Mine : http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/1842/wall-story-v0

How does yours work so far if it's been already tested ?

I would, if nothing else, try and play some cheap code gate and sentry ETR, especially if your main defense is walls, its going to suck that they have to troll their deck to pull out a Yog for a sing enigma.

Sub out Ichi for some Rototurrets maybe and have two as well? It's cheaper, forces runners to get their sentry breaker. I'd agree on the code gate changes too, Enigma or Datapikes can act like mini-Tollbooth. Having other types are help your R&D coverage cuz I'm assuming a lot of the barriers are on the HQ :)

I like the idea though, I wanted to make a Off the Grid deck and this seems like the way to go!

The issue I see with running Enigma and Datapike is how cheaply the runner can break those. Sure, I force the runner to bring out their decoder, but the problem I see with most code gates is that they can be broken by Yog.0 for 0 credits once they have it in play. I have spent the time and credits to rez this, and it ends up being a dead card if they have a decoder in play. I suppose I could put a Chimera or two into the deck. It's not like I can't afford to rez it a few times.

How come you have Heimdall 2.0 in the deck? It only costs 1 credit more to break than Hadrian's(by Corroder) and it also costs more to rez.

The downside of Heimdall 2.0 is that it can be clicked through by a runner that is willing to take a brain damage. Also, the AP subtype means that it's vulnerable to Deus X as well.

I'd go with another Hadrian's before Heimdall 2.0, saves some influence(maybe for another Tollbooth?). Could see the benefit if you went 3xHadrian + 1xHeimdall though...

I updated the deck a bit, changing up the ICE. This is the latest iteration:
