Ending the Fun with EBC

My take on glacier HB. This deck has been pretty successful, most of the speed bumps I've encountered have been my own fault.

Special thanks to Selverin. His deck really helped me refine my own.

Major changes from my previous attempt (http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/18983/glacier-etf):

  • No more FA or DBS

  • Almost completely Asset-based economy

  • Crisium, Cyberdex, EBC

AGENDAS:

Standard spread. 5/3s are scary but it keeps the numbers down. They could really be any 5/3s, but the Fragments have useful abilities if you happen to score one early. Only fire ABT with a Jackson down unless you're feeling saucy. Vitruvius is mostly a blank 3/2. You should never really score NAPD.

ASSETS:

Money and defense. You want to get Adonis or Eve up early in the game. You should always ICE Adonis but can get away with a naked Eve if the Runner is poor. EBC is a recent addition and I have to say I'm very happy with it. Use it to rez NEXT ICE or get a discount on Eli/IQ, stall Blackmail and Leela a little bit, or tutor economy in case of emergency. I only protect it if I plan on using the cheap rez effect, otherwise I'll let them run it. You can rez and trash to deny a successful run if need be.

UPGRADES:

The glacier part. Ash and Caprice are essential to scoring out. One is nice, two is better. I've had success with Caprice on R&D until I needed her in the scoring remote. Crisium Grid doesn't need many words, it straight up denies a lot of good cards. Cyberdex Virus Suite is excellent. I'll always include at least one from now on.

OPERATIONS:

Money.

ICE:

Full NEXT suite including the new Gold. Combined with Cyberdex, I was able to wipe a MaxX's board last night. I think there are definitely going to be peaks and valleys with this card, and it's going to be very tough to land on Shapers, but it should be included. IQ has been a pleasant surprise even though I haven't had to cater to Yog or D4V1D much, it's still nice to have that flexibility. Turing is a solid play in my local meta right now because a majority of Runners use Zu as their primary decoder. IQ/Turing on a scoring remote forces D4V1D dependency or very expensive runs.
