Blue Deck Wins

RS14 5

This is a rush deck I put together anticipating slower runner decks designed to beat RP and Blue Sun. I think it struggles too much against shapers to be competitive, and it is very much a glass cannon, but I've had a whole lot of fun playing it casually.

I think the main thing interesting to say about this deck is the way the agenda selection allows you to avoid tempo loss while scoring. Except for Accelerated Beta Test (which is almost never worth firing), all the agendas in the deck provide some mechanism for you to recoup some or all of their cost. This lets you focus on pushing agendas above all else, and can lead to turn 8 wins.

Profiteering is MVP. In most match-ups, we'd like to be scoring it turn 2 for the full 15 credits. If all goes well, this will be enough to fund us to 4-5 points. It's often worth fast-tracking this turn 1. Because we're unlikely to score two of these, it might as well be a 2 point agenda.

Efficiency Committee is shockingly good here. I've only ever seen other people use it for fast advance, but for us, it's just used to make money. In the worst case, you spend the counters to click for credits, making it a 4/2 for cheap. But it also enables turns where you play e.g. two Blue Level Clearance, Hedge Fund, and then install. I'm usually happy trying to score this on turn 2.

Project Vitruvius is almost always worth trying to overscore. In the worst case, burn the counter for economy operations. Otherwise, Fast Track or Biotic Labor are prime targets.

I don't buy this.
I can't get your profiteering, you have so many ICEs.
I can't get why don't you grab some pieces of Shipment from SanSan?

I don't understand why you think Profiteering causes problems with the quantity of ice.

Shipment from SanSan would be nice, but I don't know what to cut to free up influence. Wall of Static and NEXT Silver are too expensive turn 1 to be good replacements for Ice Wall. Power Shutdown is to give it some defense against SMC. Pop-up Window is incredibly efficient and maintains some use even after Profiteering is scored, and Wraparound is to punish Overmind and Eater. Generally I only need to fast advance the last agenda, and Biotic Labor works well enough for that.

I built something similar; if you are worried about the shaper match up, swapping your influence around for 3 Cortex Lock and then including 2 Aggressive Secretary has really helped me. The Cortex Lock have won me more games via flatline than I have scored out, as people (when they realise you are rushing) think they only need Mimic.
