Starlight Manifesto One Foot on the Gas One Foot in the Heap

funnyways3 943

Welcome to the Crusade. What a wicked gang are we :) Everyone was laughing when I said I had this made. Like a good Ska band: underestimated, completely misunderstood, acknowledged...but with hesitation about its validity in the mainstream. But if and when we rise again, with any sort of certainty...would you be impressed? Ah Starlight...someday. Your day will come.

The Starlight Manifesto: 1. Working twice as hard can be a good thing. It pays off in the end. If you can't wrap your brain around that...sleep on it. For at least a little.

  1. Work hard. Play hard. Embrace sanity management from time to time. Let it cut into your day a little bit. We'll back you up...eventually.

  2. Taking on more than you can handle isn't always a bad thing. Your trash can always be your treasure.

  3. Creativity can only shine if you let it. Nurture it. Take up a hobby. Like drawing, perhaps. Draw a lot. We mean...a lot.

  4. Nobody should feel helpless. Don't be afraid to embrace technology! It's there to help!

  5. 1234, 1234. Repetition is merely a step towards mastery. If at first you don't succeed. Run, run, run again. Nobody looks down on you for it. In fact, in most cases, we look up at you :)

Ah, Starlight...someday. Your day will come. And then we might just make it after all.

Love this deck. Spent a good time play testing against it and my wins were honestly through luck.

Was glad that I didn't see this in Swiss or top 8 (along with the corporation from hell).

Awesome job at Regionals, was really sad that this didn't make it to top 8!

Thanks! Some day. It will get there :)

As a heads up to everyone else, I was play testing my Regionals second-place Blue Sun deck against this.

The only way I could come close to keeping up with this decks econ was by being able to OAI a Curtain Wall both turn one and turn two. This version of PPVP Kate just is stupid rich.

It makes your heart sink a bit when the runner goes "Okay, click one, I gain 23 credits, click two, I draw 7 cards...."

Wow facing this deck would be a challenge. I'd hate to be on The Receiving End of it All.

Hahahaha! Well played Danius :)

Always gotta give the nod to a fellow ska fan. Also Starlight is awesome.

I cannot tell you how much I approve of the name; ska fans unite! What a wicked gang we are....

On a more deck related note; given that the whole deck revolves around Starlight Crusade Funding, are two enough? I guess your card draw means you'll get one fairly quickly.

Code Siphon? I know it's not a double, but it would tutor your breakers and the tag is removed by Lawyer Up.

Code Siphon is actually a really interesting though. Might give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!

As for "why not 3 Starlights" I wanted to keep the deck size down and there's so much draw that it tends to not become in issue. Starlight is useful, but not actually so ridiculously essential to the deck that I need it immediately. 3 Beach Parties because I need to be able to hold some things in my hand. The other thing I was trying to be cautious of was dead draw further down the road. If I put in a 3rd, I would probably find place for a Capstone or 2. Which isn't a terrible idea actually. Might try it.

Capstone!? Eegads. What are you on? :)

Isn't it obvious? I'm on Diesel! Lots of Diesel :) And lord knows what I'm taking at that Beach Party.

Very similar to what I'm running! I love it! Have you considered a one off of Symmetrical Visage? It triggers off of Gene Conditioning Shoppe, and comes in handy when you just can't seem to find what you need. Also, I think I am going to try Capstone myself, thanks for that suggestion.

Hi Xarl! I have thought about "Healthy Baby" but just haven't made it fit. Might try it though. And yeah, Capstone has been super useful but as a one off timed poorly, it can be kind of a waste of a card until the second burn through the deck. It's a fun deck to play, right?!
