Fisk Out Of Water v0.1

Shiiuga 1266

I shall never be sorry for my abhorrent deck titles.

Continuing my speculation for future IDs after having a look at Haarpsichord and Cybernetics Division (with varied success).

I always ignored L Fisky when he was a special card but I got interested in the hand bloat possibilities when he was announced for TUOT.

The basic idea is: Get as many cards in to your opponents hand as possible then either steal them all with some combination of Legwork/HQ Interface or Hades Shard them all out of Archives after they have been trashed. Or, as a third option if you're playing against Cerebral Imaging: Cry.

You want HQ lock as fast possible, really, with the ability to get cheaply in to Archives a bonus, hence the icebreakers.

The Cards

A lot of the cards are fairly self-explanatory crim standards, but let's run through some of the specific reasons for some of them.

Events

Career Fair to install the Shards naked for less credits if you need, or for getting out Woman in the Red Dress for nothing. Fisk Investment Seminar for a nice draw engine combined with a big bloat to the corp's hand to either force trashing later down the line or to maximise a big HQ access turn.

Hardware

e3 Feedback Implants to combo with Grappling Hook if required. Vigil to benefit from the fact that almost always you would expect the corp to end their turn discarding down to hand size. At least very often, anyway.

Resources

The three shards can all do work in this deck. Eden to force extra draw, Utopia to force trash and Hades to sweep in to Archives if you expect that's where all the sweet, sweet points are and you want in before they can be Jacksoned out. Enhanced Vision gives you a bit of bonus knowledge that will help inform your decision on when to Legwork. Woman in the Red Dress lets you know if an R&D run is worth it or not, given your lack of multiaccess, and leads to even more hand bloat for the corp if they don't cotton on that this is what you're doing. Remember, the more cards they have to draw the more they have to discard!

Programs

Your primary weapons will be the centrals-only breaker suite (Alias, Breach and Passport), as in an ideal world you wouldn't be aiming to hit remotes. They're not the most efficient breakers but they do the job without spending any influence on a Corroder or Gordian Blade. The others (including Grappling Hook/e3 Feedback Implants) are there for backup in case you need to breach a remote. Always have a back up plan, that's my motto (except in the countless decks where I don't have a backup plan at all).

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that if you can force the corp to overdraw you will definitely, 100% deck them by the third turn. Fourth at the latest.

Seriously, though, at the very least they should be drawing 2-3 cards a turn minimum thanks to the mandatory draw, your ability and WITRD.

I'm sure this can and will be tweaked. I think the icebreakers are the weakest part and I would consider dropping one WITR to free up influence for better breakers, which in turn would reduce/remove the need for e3, Grappling Hook...

Looking at Fisk's ability I don't know any better way of exploiting it for profit, but I'd be glad to hear it if you do!
