Badeesh 212

9 times out of 10 I'm finding myself going for the biotic Nisei, but I have picked up some wins via net damage. Idea is to set up a 3 ice, caprice/grid server and leverage that to tax the runner with intimidating assets and agendas.

Noted so far:

  • If you can Biotic into a Nisei, it's game on. Best opening hand. Easy ID pick.
  • Melange and Sundew are awesome Crick targets, as well as the Grid/Caprice combo.
  • Valley Grid and Caprice remotes are so terrible to deal with. They offer an RP like effect that will kill the runner, not squash his turns. Especially when you have 2-3 Nisei tokens.
  • If you play against someone regularly, they'll push too hard against the remote plan. That's when it's time to start flipping Net Damage and keep them honest. They have to be worried about all of your flip options all the time.
  • Susanoo/Crick combo is real and helluva fun.
  • Genetic Resequencing does wrack up Nisei tokens and much more often than you would think creates a window for another agenda score. Like a mini-me-nisei.
  • Sundews and Melanges are for the remote when you don't need to put an agenda in it. They are both incredibly intimidating and often cause some pretty rash decisions.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I am!

Really like the decklist, this looks much more playable and even more fun than previous Biotech decks! How have Himitsu-Bako and Snowflake worked out for you? Have you considered switching one of them out for Bastion to be more taxing on the Runner?

Thanks Ward! I've found them both very effective as cheap binary ETR for the early game, and Himitsu has the added bonus that you can redeploy it on the scoring remote when the time is right. Snowflake is ok, I think it's one of the weaker slots at the moment. Options like Bastion might be a bit too expensive but defo worth fiddling with.

Here are a few quick notes for you:

  • This is hardly different in any way from Ber's netrunnerdb.com So sorry to burst your bubble, but you are discovering the hot water.

  • Turntable from next pack won't make you very happy to run this deck.

  • R&D lock, Wanton Destruction and Ice Destruction ( basically any deck that has Parasite in it) ruins your day.

Don't know what opponents you play for, but yeah, this deck has been out for a while and although fun, not truly competitive.

P.s. I'm very, very curious how you get some wins from "meat" damage.

I've played against this deck... I lost. To be fair, you're not quite sure what to do once you've burned through 4 Nisei tokens; You can't run on the valley grid server more than once a turn; and then out pops another biotic-resequencing! Well piloted, this deck has legs. Nice one dude!

Yay. I got Dydra out. Didn't see that deck before. Also, pardon typo, updated original. I'm pretty sure everybody thought of Biotic Labors when they saw this ID. But this deck has completely different ice, a different agenda suite and a totally different approach to asset play. Thanks for the feedback though.

Thanks Joshy. I'm pretty sure I can't pilot it that well, but I think the theory is sound.

I always found Snowflake to just be a tax on the corp. Early game just keep running it and showing zero. You either get through or it becomes a pseudo Lamprey.

Totally. I think Quicksand will take over as soon as it's available.

You got Dydra mad, you must be onto a winner!
