London Kit by Schmitty

Dothanite 376

AKA Sexy Librarians

Shoutout to the Iron Beard, Anthony Treadway, for his persistence in the Femme + London Combo. Without him, this deck wouldn't exist.

This is a deck with several angles of attack. Vamp Kit has always been strong, however London Library adds more value to the archetype by allowing the runner to set up even more quickly.

Awesome Interactions

Piloting

  1. Magnum Opus is key, as it is the only econ you have. Get it out any way you can ASAP.
  2. Install an angle of attack. use Stimshop to get your self set up, London or Test Run to flicker useful breakers, or just play cards the old fashioned way.
  3. Apply pressure when necessary. This deck walks a fine line between making the corp feel useless and setting yourself up for end game. you have five different cards that work wonders with London Library or on their own - take advantage of this.
  4. Money up and Vamp. Sometimes you can't beat the opponent's economy, and that's okay. When you feel you have mid-late game suite, just start clicking for sweet, sweet creds. Don't dig any more if you have all of the pieces.

Matchups

Still a WIP. I'd suggest checking out This awesome article from Stimhack about the Peddler. It's very relevant, even with the new releases.
I've found myself dying to damage (alot) more so than losing to points. I had to switch out my baby Feedback Filter with the more relevant Deus X because, yes, PE is still a thing and it stinks. I also am not used to Magnum Opus, being a criminal at heart. I've lost to sea source twice because I didn't money up when I should have.
Glacier isn't a problem unless you let them build up a three-to-four tiered server. Femmes go a long way with this, so hold onto them. Vamp is a great way to make sure you're ahead of the corp, as well - they need money to stop you. I have had no experience with this deck against Blue Sun, so not sure what to say there.
Fast Advance is still a thing post-Clot. Face-check every server you can while you can. Wraparound is a pain, but manageable with your Femme.

Final Thoughts

We have two influence as a swing slot - Use this as a meta call. If you want more pressure, switch this with Parasite. If you have a lot of FA, go Clot. If you like to flood the Corp's hand with agendas, Legwork is key. I was using Legwork for a while, but felt that I needed to #slottheclot in the Southeast Meta.

My biggest mistake with this deck so far is not taking whole turns to click for creds. Money is a big deal here, and, though you can get by with little, frugality does not win you games. Also don't forget how versatile this deck is. Cards that work well together are Test Run, London Library, Scavenge; Stimhack, Personal Workshop, Self-modifying Code.

A variation of this deck, and a true "Sexy Librarians" deck, includes two Autoscripter. It's a solid card to use if you're facing an triple/quadruple iced server. I see its usefulness, but I would have to take out the Vamps and the swing slot. Not sure if it would be more useful in other matchups.

Hey, you referenced my Stimhack article! I love you. I haven't tried library in Kit yet, but I'm definitely stealing your build and giving it a go.

Hey, you wrote that Stimhack Article! I love you too.

I have found that this deck is great at sniping remotes, and I haven't had any issues building my rig to the tempo of the Corp building their servers. Have fun and let me know what you think :)

Very click intensive early, but pretty solid otherwise. I like it. I'm totally going to try London Library in CT, though trying to get rid of Workshop. LL seems to be another nice moving part to get cheated Big Rig decks into play again.
