Stealth Hayley, Top 8 Toronto Regional at Legend Warehouse

gloomy85 597

5-0 in swiss. 0-1 in the top 8.

Won against 1 NEH, 3 Blue Sun and 1 HB EtF. Lost to a HB EtF.

It is basically a heavy resource Hayley deck that makes tons of money and draw lots of cards to keep up with Hayley's ability. Aesop's Pawnshop further improve the efficiency of the resource economy. Coupled with stealth rig, this deck can just walk through all sort of ice while maintaining tempo all throughout the game.

Bank Job is just amazing in the current meta. the 6 influence is very well spent. Even against protected remote, the stealth rig still allow me to get in cheap and make profit.

Rest of my influence are spent on Imp/D4v1d/Clot. All tutorable, 2 of them can be sold to pawnshop after use. Overall, they synergize with the rest of the deck very well and provide you solution to a lot of different corp archetypes.

Like the deck mate, congrats on the good finish. I've been trying Stealth Hayley as well, I cut Plascretes to make deck space but found it difficult to play around Scorch without them, as when my rig is set up I mostly use Stealth credits to run and not real credits so I can't beat traces. You beat 3 Blue Sun with this - did any of them have Scorch? If so, any tips on how to avoid fiery death with this deck?

@CobraBubbles Thanks for your comment. I did play against Blue Sun with Scorch in the tournament and many of them during my testing.

The best way to approach them is to play slow. In the early game, you don't need to access cards from central unless it is free to get in. You should focus on setting up and making money as well as denying their asset (Adonis) and oversight AI econ. Without those two econ, it is very easy to out money them by a large amount with the econ in this deck and make Scorch Earth/Punitive Counterstrike irrelevant.

You should still run on central to make them rez ice and just bounce off. Don't be afraid to let them score 1 or 2 agendas. It is actually good for you to let them to score agendas so it is easier to break through hives.

With all this, eventually they will either be flooded with agendas in HQ or their R&D will have a very high density of agenda then you just run on central and win.

@CobraBubbles Honestly, with Blue Sun you know what the game's going to be like from the very beginning. They're going to try and outmoney you so that they can blow you up. Therefore you can plan accordingly. I'd personally be more interested in seeing if he played Butcher Shop NEH, because I find that a much more difficult match for this deck than Blue Sun, due to its' capability to switch gears from fast advance to damage quite abruptly.

@Alrik_40000 I played bunch Butcher Shop NEH with this deck in a previous game night kit tournament. I played against 3 of them and didn't drop any game. It is the same deal. I focus on setting up and make money in the early game because I have clot so I can let them score 1 or 2 agendas before I start to worry. Also, I like to tutor my Imp early to trash agenda instead of scoring them if I happen to run into them.

The Bank Job and Imp really help in that matchup

Just saw the top 8 match vs EtF. Really cool deck, love it! Bank Jobs are a very neat addition. Couple of quick questions;

No Silencers. How often does this become an issue?

Low HQ pressure with only Imp. Would you consider swapping like the Clot for HQ Interface/Legwork for more pressure on more servers?

Cheers
