spike rp: 1st place Chicago Regional @ Pastimes

i recently won the Chicago regional with this build of RP. the deck placed well in the following tournaments:

1st place Dayton Great Lakes Circuit Qualifier @ Epic Loot

2nd place Louisville Regional @ Bluegrass Magic Shop

3rd place Detroit Regional @ Eternal Games

1st place Chicago Regional @ Pastimes

this is a prototypical, vanilla style RP. good players have told me there's no flavor. casual/less skilled players have on multiple occasions ragequit from the attrition of being unable to match the efficiency of click compression and asset tax

i'd say it's around an above average level of difficulty to pilot. i frequently lose in casual / octgn games where i don't take my time and make optimal decisions with each turn or allow sub-optimal accesses declining to math out the value of jackson or nisei

a really important note: i've subbed out one Eli in favor of a Hudson 1.0. i can't publish the full build because it is identical to the build i published for the GLC's purposes a couple months ago. i assumed this would be obvious to most, as no Spike would play less than the maximum number of allowed Elis in RP

i believe the deck has a positive ratio against every standard build in the current meta except whizzard. i could make a few changes to make the deck better against whizzard, but it'd hurt the Kate/Criminal matchup, and i think it'd also make the Maxx ratio negative winrate. i'm planning on retiring RP altogether after Film Critic, so i thought i'd post my best attempt at a Spike deck before then in case anyone else wants to put assets out and tax their opponent into a death of monotony

What's your main strategy for dealing with Valencia in this deck? Do you feel that it would be a detriment to the deck to drop something for a one off executive Boot Camp?

Also with so much Kate in the meta-right now how do you feel about including an Ashigaru to tax lady.

@Alturis i exhaust the blackmails as quickly and frequently as possible with Caprice and Sundew or agendas. i've tried builds like this one with Bootcamp and i find its uses a bit too narrow

Ashigaru is quite expensive and easy to parasite. probably would run three if not for parasite
