Breaking The Meta (BTM) Ep.7: Food for Thought

Hello everyone! Welcome to Breaking the Meta! This week we will take a look into one of my personal favorite casual Runner! I know he is not really tournament quality, but he is still pretty ok to me! When building I didnt know if I wanted to do a big rig (Inject into Retrieval Run into things like Morning Star and stuff) but instead I will be looking into slinging parasites mid-run. Now I really feel that Exile: Streethawk's ability is stronger in mid run then it is normal clicks.

                                       Events.

Now Diesel into some nice programs into a Freelance Coding Contract is the obvious choice here since you want programs to reanimate later when needed. It is also how you will be obtaining money (outside of Magnum Opus. Injectis a pretty neat card since it will allow you to draw cards, throw away programs, then gain money for them! Scavenge was an obvious Exile card from his big box, and an obvious combo with Test Run since you can get a card from your heap if needed, then scavenge it (allows 2 card draws if the program was in your bin, a permanent program for the cost of 3 credits.)

                                      Hardwares

Astrolabe was the only real console for Exile that I could find, but with RP and NEH Butcher shop, it seems to be ok.

                                        Ice Ice Breakers

I figured having a sort of Toolbox feel to the suite was probablly best. Atman should always be pitched then reanimated during a run (or installed at 4). Deus X is here for any PE or AP Subroutines you dont want to be caught in. Gordian Blade is in over ZU.13 Key Master because I Personally am on Team Gordian over the Key Master. Sharpshooter is here because Pacer Pro Tips basically says so.

                                 Programs

Datasucker and Parasite are pretty much great with Exile: Streethawk since you can Clone Chip it onto ICE and Sucker them down to death. Magnum Opus is an Econ engine you really need.

                                    Afterword

Upon looking at this list (not played it yet, but will soon) I can say that the downside to this ID/Deck is how little ECON is in it outside of Magnum Opus. Feel free to add some Sure Gamble or even some Dirty Laundry or Kati Jones for more econ.

Other than that Happy Tuning and Run some Nets! -Allen "Sidkah" Wontroba

When I added inject to dirty hands, I found that it was antisynergistic with FCC, since you diesel into inject, and want to play inject to draw into FCC, but you dump programs. I like inject, but it should probably replace FCC, rather than be added with it.

I woudl do 2 QT and 1 escher or something

@x3r0h0urfirst off, I wanna say that I'm kinda a big fan with your deck building! Thanks a lot for commenting! And I kinda thought/was told the same thing, but my thought process was just to be able to dump as much into archives as i can while gaining something. I figured having inject with FCC being able to dump more while stilll gaining something. -3 FCC: +2 QTs and +1 Escher.

Thanks, good to hear positive feedback on the maximum jank :P

I found in my final version experimenting with inject, I actually replaced the diesels with inject, kept 2 FCC, and that way after I'd inject/draw into 2 quality time and likely a fcc, I could burst and dump with the QT's I'd hit. Not running diesel feels odd, but it was alright.
