guardia roja v1.0

megamaster 48

Since O&C and especially Faust came out I have been wanting to revive the priceless terror which is Blackguard together with Snitch (probs to Heartthrob for the inspiration).

Doing of what Reina Roja: Freedom Fighter does best, this deck focuses on controling the corp´s boardstate and more importantly, their creditpool.

The programsuite is mainly fitted to either kill low strenght ice or break and derez bigger ice which you forced the corp to rez while, especially mid to late game, you hammer R&D with Keyhole and/or Medium.

Initial testing showed that the deck´s early game is particularily weak because it misses shaper´s resourcefullness and criminal´s trickery, which is my biggest concern at the moment.

Once the pieces are in place however, it can turn the tide rather quickly and establish dominance over the corp´s funds.

So far it´s a very fun deck to play and a rather frustrating one to play against, provided you make ist to midgame without beeing outscored by the corp.

Therefore any suggestions on how to fix the early game issue are heavily appriciated.

This doesn't really help the early game issue, but Social Engineering is super hilarious with Blackguard and Snitch in play. If you slot it you will probably also want Xanadu, which just helps with your overall strategy anyway.

It sounds to me like you need something to slow the corp down, not speed yourself up. Maybe look at things like Clot, The Source, or Chakana.

Faust doesn't seem great for you. You don't have a lot of draw or recursion, and you want to install or play pretty much all these cards.

I'd go down to 2x Blackguard, by the time you are ready to install it you will probably have seen one and it gives you a precious 2 influence back.

You probably don't need both Medium and Keyhole. Eater is bad with Medium anyway.

If you want to speed up your early game I'd look at getting a bit more draw in, and probably finding the slots for Armitage Codebusting, or the slots and influence for Career Fair. Either one of those will help you get to the 14 you need for your combo.
