1.3.2.5.1 RP Refinery

Dew Refinery was my direct inspiration for this list. I made this list from scratch after looking at it and was amused to see how similar they turned out. One of my main goals was find a better ice spread, though 2 strength is still rather prevalent. I really want to use a rezzed Refinery to draw a run away from an installed agenda. I used the same tactic to force a run in a SEA Source deck, advance a rezzed Refinery until the runner either runs it or you make bank. Takes an unwary runner, but it is great when it works.

Very nice take on Refinery-style RP!

Awesome strat. I'll have to try that with Dew Refinery. I like the ice spread here, but am not sure I would sac my Shipments for more ice...I just love that card too much. Personal preference. This kind of deck is fun to play but takes time to learn how to properly maneuver. Let me know how it does for you!

My problem with chum is that it lets runners bounce off it for free and it must be played with other ice.

I'm digging the prospect of GRNDL for even more massive econ though.

Dude, you just don't play Chum on your centrals in RP. Chum-Swordsman is one of the most dangerous remotes this type of deck can create ;)

(alternatively, chum-chimera also has the potential to be a massive "screw you")

How does Chum-Chimera become a good combo?

Does not stop Yog, Gordian, Corroder, Mimic, Parasites

Swordsman already deals with Atmans

Actually it does deal with parasites on the first run thinking about it some more. I might have to try the combo and see how it works.

WAT. Do you understand how chimera works? The only thing listed there is that it accurate is parasite. I mean, unless you are relying on chimera late game....

What else can this deck rely on lategame to stop runners?

What I'm saying is that what chum-chimera could stop could already be stopped by a chimera alone and the only benefit is the anti-parasite measure.

This was a deck-testing issue I worked out in Dew Refinery by running Tollbooth and more Wall of Thorns. You will score from unprotected remotes more than you think, and Chimera scores in the early goings are a gimme. That said, to score that winning agenda you need one beefy remote late game...

It is true that this deck had problems with late game ICE, and I actually did add in another Wall of Thorns and a Tollbooth Snoop in an upgraded version. I also traded out one Jackson Howard for...something very naughty that I would catch a lot of flak for if I mentioned it here, just now. I feel like I will playtest it for a while before I reveal my blunder stroke of genius.

It's Ireress I bet. Definitely that.

No, not that, never that. It was (is) Izzy "What just happened to my Caissa/Parasite" McGuire. Like a less conditional Midori, when her single copy decides to show up to the party, that is. The newer deck list is posted here.
