The Bug Zapper

This deck did very well recently against the 2 toughest adversaries in my current meta. They both play heavy draw Faust builds, and we're destroying me the past few weeks. I made minor tweaks, and it outlasted both of them this time around. Chronos Project owned one of them, as he Fausted one Levy and I sniped another...then scored a naked Project. >:) This ID is so fun, and I think I'm "just about there" with my build. My only question mark at this time is the Genetics Pavilion.

Any suggestions or advice is welcomed!

@esutter479: Weeks ago, I think I suggested the Genetics Pavilion (might have been a different CP deck but I'm pretty sure it was this one), and I've been wondering ever since how much weight it's pulled. Do you see it often enough to even tell?

@FarCryFromHuman - Yep, it was this deck. :) I only drew it once last night, and it was toward the end of the game when I was about to score out my last agenda. I played it to see if the runner would do anything, but there wouldn't have been any point. He was playing Faust Hayley w/Beach Party and Pancakes (and Game Day) and he was out of cards due to my Project wipe of his heap. >:D

I can't say I wanna give up on G.P., but I just need to think about a replacement if my meta dictates such a thing in the near future. We'll see what happens.

Oh, just as a side note, T.M. did work last night! I was both shocked and overjoyed to make about 30 credits from it in 2 games. Definitely keeping this bad boy in.

Yeah Targeted Marketing is basically an auto-include in CP, along with House of Knives and Neural EMP. Can't imagine playing the identity without it. I've been trying to get An Offer You Can't Refuse + 24/7 News Cycle to work but it kind of goes against the grain of scoring out by keeping the runner off-balance. It's pretty wonderful to have 6 counters on a HoK though.

24/7 also seems influence heavy, IMO. HoK is great with it, but is just fine without it, to be honest with ya. Being able to score it early behind one ICE is dirty, but scoring it naked (which I also did) is just wrong, lol. It makes it easier to get that one Project in your score area when you're able to draw it.

Well the dream is scoring Philotic Entanglement and immediately using 24/7 late game for an instant kill, and I should mention this combo is in a deck with a much more porous R&D and Shi.Kyūs with some FA tricks. It really doesn't need to be out of CP at all, it's just so fun to play that I had to. It should really be out of PE.

I've gone back and forth on Targeted Marketing in CP. It is really satisfying, but I feel like I can't rely on it for econ (since the runner might be able to play around it, or I might see it after they're well set up). At the same time, if the runner really needs to install the target, they'll just do it.

I think that it might be best if you can use it to enable an Ash 2X3ZB9CY or something else that can make good use of extra credits, but maybe that's a different deck.

I don't know, probably haven't played it enough to makea firm conclusion. How did you feel it worked into your game plan?

Yah, I totally don't rely on it for econ. 1) It's good burst when it fires...2) At the very least, it's defense against debilitating runner Currents...and 3) The real trick is that it makes them think twice (once you've gotten maybe 1 or 2 peeks at their grip) about recklessly dropping that Siphon/Fracter/Clone Chip/etc. It could theoretically enable Ash, or several uses out of Caprice (if I put her back in)...something like that.
