The goal of this deck is to not lose. It some times works.

Love the deck name. One of my favorite anecdotes. Not sure how I feel about Blue Sun without 3 Curtain Walls or Scorch, but I have no doubt your description is still accurate.

Highly recommended with a deck like this: Public Support! It makes it way easier to win on points. As it is, you'll need to get a minimum of 9 points to win, which is quite a waste. With Public Support, you'll only need to score 6 and an additional 1, and the Runner will still have to steal half the agendas in your deck to win.

@llama66613 I've thought about it, but I've yet to purchase universe of tomorrow. @PapaBear I did have 3 to begin with, but I swapped one for a Janus and felt that I didn't need more 10+ to rez ice. As for no scorch, I've considered it but it doesn't seem like it's needed after playing with contract killer. Have gotten a surprising amount of kills off with it since I added it.

I've been wanting to give blue sun a try (bit of a noob, here). I gave this a couple of goes with a friend! The first one I he got an early agenda score, and I was so low on money that I couldn't do a damn thing while trying to actively block his accesses.

Next one I focused on keeping money up. I [[archived memories]] for [[oversight ai]] as much as I possibly could, using it on [[curtain wall]]. Got over 50 credits by the end, and my opponent was too scared to even steal anything.

While I was waiting for my opponent to try and steal agendas, I built up two [[contract killers |contract killer]], alongside [[the cleaners]] to basically build a corp shaped gun. On one turn he didn't draw up to four, so, pop pop, professional job.

Like so many [[government takeover]] decks, you get unlucky, or you win.

I've never tried blue sun before this, and I think I will tweak this around to see what I might change. I was thinking about [[daily business show]] to force [[government takeover]] to the bottom of R&D (though there's [[showing off]] for that situation as a rare counter). I'm not sure I'd want I'd give up to have a few of those? Maybe a janus and fire wall?

Anyway, great intro to blue sun. Thank you very much for posting it, Grumblecorn!

@HilariousCow Glad you liked it. I'm constantly tweaking this deck and trying new things with it. Janus is optional and is a very recent add. I've only managed to get a full 4 brains off once, but it worked. Great intimidation factor with oversight. Starts a fun little game of "Where's the Janus?" from then on out with the runner. As for Government takeover, I tend to use it to my advantage. I like to run ice heavy so I can try to protect it if need be, though usually it's just punitive bait. I strove to make Government Takeover work for me.
