asset spam gagarin(need deck help)

Overwhelm the runner by playing a ton of assets and score out with the help of Ash or sneak out Project Atlas when they stop running your remotes.

Problematic matchups are Runners with very high econ who can afford to just trash everything. This deck doesn't have the speed NEH has, can not protect the assets with net damage or ridiculous trash costs like IG and doesn't gain a credit for installing stuff. Desperado and Valencia completly negate the Gagarin ability and Whizzard isn't exactly a favored matchup as well.

I see a lot potential in this deck, but I'm starting to feel frustrated because most games are either absolute stomp games where you are able to gain a ton of credits and score out everything you want or flat out unwinable because the runner can afford everything and your only income is Paywall Implementation.

The biggest problems I have are that I am heavily reliant on Ash, which isn't doing much when I'm behind in credits, and that my ICE kinda sucks.

I desperatly want this deck to work, but it has a good amount of unfavorable matchups.

Ash 2X3ZB9CY isn't bad here, but he's better IMO behind bioroids or Jinteki RP where they may not have a turn to hit your server again after trashing him. Caprice Nisei might be better, but super expensive influence-wise. Which takes us to the ice suite. Not enough of it, obviously.

Tour Guide is an interesting piece of ice, but it's parasite bait. It'll buy you a turn or two at most, or more realistically, a click or two.

Crick or Architect would be good for this deck. I think you need a few more Enigma - and all of your Archer food is 2 point agendas - might be something to think about.

Welcome to the new Netrunner, friend, where games are increasingly decided before they begin by whether you picked rock, paper, or scissors. You can thank FFG for that.

I'm a little surprised to hear that your "stomp" games occur when the runner has enough to trash everything - Gagarin is much more likely to get stomped when the runner establishes R&D lock against its weak ice and non-trap-filled deck.

If you look at a lot of the strongest decks, they work because they're versatile. NEH Butchershop has an extremely potent flatline threat, as well as making tons of money, and being able to fast-advance a win as well.

Your deck, on the other hand, only has one strategy - spam assets and score behind Ash 2X3ZB9CY. As such, it shouldn't be surprising that your games go very well (when you aren't countered), or very poorly (when you are countered). Runners don't tend to play fair :)

So here, for example, I would strongly consider ditching the vegan thing and get some protein back in your diet.

Public Support is a Rube Goldberg machine - it's fun to watch when it's working (especially if it can enable an Archer or Corporate Town), but if it's actually going to be the difference between you winning or losing, the runner's not going to let it fly.

I'd probably ditch Turtlebacks as well, it's too slow outside of NEH/Team Sponsorship shenanigans.

Considering mixing up your drip econ with some burst econ - Private Contracts, or especially Melange Mining Corp..

Sadly, NEH (turtles or regular FA) does asset spam better. Runners today must have a way to deal with NEH, so you'll take splash damage from that. Also, you have less threatening naked remotes, since scoring Atlas as a 3/2 is just 2 points, whereas the runner really doesn't want to let an Astro through.

Compulsive trasher problem apart, I think it's hard for a faction with only one 3/2 agenda to make a good asset spaming deck, since it doesn't make never-advance an option.

Early Premiere should help, but it costs 3 influence points, and only 2 creds to trash.

if you are going the asset spam route, i'd consider adding Hostile Infrastructure. sure it's expensive to rez but it'll make runners reconsider if it's worth the pain plus the trash cost.

Thank you all for your answers.

I wrote a big response and it was gone because I accidentally closed the tab.

The essence was, that I feel like I'm trying too hard to make this deck work. I've been playing Gagarin for a few months now and with the Universe of Tomorrow, I felt like this archetype cold finally take of. But the biggest problems currently are in the cardpool:

1) Weyland ICE kinda blows. A lot of the pieces of ICE can be really good in certain situations, but there is nothing really that's always good like Ichi 1.0, Tollbooth or Eli.

2) Lack of protective upgrades. You have to import Caprice or Ash. Crisium is cute, but it helps you not to lose instead of helping you to win.

Looking ahead: Kala Ghoda, the first pack of the mumbad cycle already has two promising cards in it, which are Mumba temple and Mumbad Virtual Tour. Now that NBN got their big box, maybe we even see some decent Weyland cards. I still feel like the designer want to see a competetive Gagarin deck, but it's either not invented or just needs more cards.
