Overmind Apex

Absolium 73

Apex suffers from three main issues: 1) Lack of card draw 2) Lack of good breakers 3) Lack of economy

Since the only "economic" virtual resource is Data Folding and that Apex's breaker, Endless Hunger, uses 4, it doesn't seems like a good choice. But, by using Overmind + e3 Feedback Implants as your main breaker, this issue is solved. You now have an universal breaker and economy. The issues 1 and 3 are solved. And for the card draw, I've included Diesel, it's not much, but it helps. Always Be Running will help if you fall on Turin, Wraparound or Swordman.

Once the corps is set-up and you're ready to unleash Apex's fury, run all 3 centrals and play Apocalypse. Now you have plenty of facedown card so you can install and abuses Endless Hunger. Yes, Data Folding will be facedown, but from this point you won't need except to install Medium.

Step 1: mulligan for Overmind and e3 Feedback Implants. Step 2: Wait to be able to run all three central. Step 3: Profit.

@Absolium Interesting concept your wrong thou Data Folding isn't the only virtual econ theirs also Grifter which actually works well for him as it turns out.

That aside I do like this idea I had been looking into the idea of using Endless Hunger as a temporary breaker and then building the rig later. The idea of using it the other way round never accord to me.

The only thing id look at changing tho is Diesel for I've Had Worse as something I've run into is when you use Apocalypse NBN & Weyland have a habbit of using Scorched Earth.

Excellent suggestion! I'll update it for the next version. Thanks.

Would Ghost Runner work better than Data Folding? They are not as expensive to install and might give you a few extra credits with Wasteland.

Not gonna lie, I'd love me some Ghost Runner in here. I also had a version similar to this (just with QT instead of Diesel, and no ABR), but scrapped it for the time being. I run Mimics now as supplemental Architect breakers, but even that route is not without fault, if you don't draw into it early somehow. I'll see how it goes, but it's much more cost effective than is Overmind in the long run.
