A race...it's a race! I hope I win...

It's an iceless deck that's ALMOST reasonably good enough to play! Since the runner is already 'running', you might as well make it a race! [An actual race, not a trap to lure the runner into thinking it's a race before you blow them up]

Since you're playing fair, if they get too far ahead there's almost no way you can win unless you get lucky...but if you can keep pace with them you stand a better chance of winning than they do and this deck is pretty darn fast when it comes to scoring. Put two agendas on the table: they'll almost certainly score one, but you get the other! [This program is brought to you by Sirius Cybernetics Corporation: Share and Enjoy!]

It has pretty consistent and reliable recursion for all of those assets the runner will inevitably trash, and it potentially has some fun shell game situations that rival Jinteki's...as long as you replace the end goal of 'Fry their brain from the inside' with 'Force them to watch endless Die Hard sequels for eternity'. Not all that different, really, when you think about it.

It needs some tweaking still, and it's DEFINITELY not even remotely 'tournament viable', whatever that means these days, but it's super entertaining and guarantees a quick game whether you win or lose.

If you want to make the runner constantly wonder what it is you think you're doing, and watch them sit on a hand full of useless icebreakers while you shove shameless marketing propaganda in their faces until you win or they do (and you don't care toooo much about the outcome either way), then this is a deck for you. :)

I see no reason not to spend the last 2 influence on a third Shipment from MirrorMorph. It does exactly what this deck wants to do.

I know it breaks the concept a little (or does it?) but I think slotting 3x Special Offer is also a great idea. I'm not sure Old Hollywood Grid pulls much weight here so that might be the cut, along with 1x Breaker Bay Grid?

You're right - the only reason I hadn't was because I kept getting stuck with my second Shipment and nothing to ship with it. Probably just my luck, though, and especially with the Anonymous Tips a 3rd is probably worth it. I'll cut a Breaker Bay for the 3rd one.

Old Hollywood pulls more weight than you might think, especially with breaker bay to cut the cost - it makes the agenda you put on it cost an extra click and 4 credits to steal, which can sneak it through if they can't get enough credits in 2 clicks or if they run late in their turn without the money thinking it's a SanSan. Even if they do end up with enough credits, you just made the agenda really expensive to steal, and they've had to access it twice (giving you any access benefits both times). I've liked having it, but could definitely see other options for it's slot.

Huh...I suppose trap ice wouldn't break the concept too much, and it might get unsuspecting runners to actually spend money on a breaker before running. I'd probably cut the Server Diagnostics for them if you want to go that direction, though

You can't reduce the cost of Old Hollywood Grid with Breaker Bay Grid as they are both regions (and therefore mutually exclusive in a given server). If this wasn't true then I would keep the OHG, as that utility is really nice. It's just not 5 nice, and you will be leaking a lot of agendas, so I can't picture it being useful for too long.

I can see running Server Diagnostics alongside Special Offer. Most likely the runner will be trashing your SDs, as they are only 2 to trash and net you 2 a turn... that's a must-trash asset IMO. If they don't trash them, just don't install the SOs. You'll be overdrawing semi-regularly anyway.

Yuuup...oops. I always forget about that rule for Breaker Bay in particular...don't know why I have trouble remembering it for BB and not the other regions. Definitely a good reason to cut one of them for the Shipment, though. Having 2 is at least still nice for Franchise City/Eve/SD if you're given the opportunity.

For me, having OHG as an option for those windows you'll have in the early game can easily be worth the 5 credits...but it's definitely situational. Being able to possibly ensure a safe Astro/Character Assassination/License Acquisition can be incredibly valuable, even if the windows to do so are rare. Even once it's not really useful it's at least sitting there boosting your Portfolio a little, since they're probably not going to trash it on its own.

I would consider Profiteering as a 3/1 - it is quick, and the runner doesn't need money so the bad pub will do them little good.

This is a really fun deck. I've tweaked the hell out of it and will give you my changes as soon as I get on tonight. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm glad you're having fun with it, Dothanite! I'd definitely be interested to hear what changes you made :)
