I got Sol but I'm not a Solja

Prox 171

Not that other Sol deck.

Sat down to make a Spark deck and put this together as a funny idea instead. Untested, save for 1 victory against a weird Noise build. Was able to slowly score out two NAPDs, then hit the astro train.

Not really meant to be competitive, just trying to explore different ideas.

Thoughts: Markus over Eli to avoid too many ICE at Strength 4.
Obvious issues with Film Critic.
RSVP as the lowest remote ICE, with multi-sub ICE above it if possible.
Ash as an additional tax to score.
1x Media Blitz makes a stolen Utopia seem kinda neat.

With relatively porous ICE it might be worth swapping the targeted marketing and adding some Paywall Implementations. If Criminals are going to abuse Sec-test runs you may as well get some credit for it.

I had Paywall as a 1 off but I'm not convinced it's worth the INF here. There won't be many (if any) remotes to abuse and while my ICE is a little porous (8 ETR ICE out of 15) I think proper placement can prevent Sec Test abuse.

I like utopia blitz. Its interesting, its probably also going to lose you a game or two, but its interesting. You are probably better served not running the marked accounts. MA works well in NEH because it can spam consistantly. It is unlikely to stick and make you money in this deck. Its probably an opportunity for a straight switch to some other economy card.

As for Midway Station grid, I do love this card, but I don't think you're using the right ice with it. You could get 8 pieces of grail at your current influence, which is a common attempt, but that's probably not right either.

Here's a list of what I consider to be the best midway ice, and so you know, I have played midway before.

1) Hive - 5 subs early, easily the best. 2) Archer - 4 subs, high str and hard to deal with. Ichi 2.0 is close and in some ways less expensive and in others... not. 3) Caduceus/viper - You're not running surveilance sweep, but if you were midway + most tracing ice gear checks cause issues decks putting them into a bad place. 4) Ichi 1.0, Pretty much the same credit tax as ichi 2.0, not vulnerable to D4v1D which is not an ice breaker. I know, right :( 5) Markus/Eli/Enigma/Rototurret - These basic gear checks play very well with Midway. The barriers are defeated, unfortunatley, by lady. 6) Inazuma - Its a high str must break code gate and plays well with ichi, it also importantly has 2 subs.

I'd consider going down to 2 ash and picking up some better ice along the way to make midway a better investment. Unfortunately, yellow has some of the worst ice in faction (though news hound is a good new addition). And midway is seriously expensive, which your economy package at least acknowledges.

Here's my old lists for reference

Thanks, @gumonshoe - good feedback here. I was originally aiming for as many multi-sub ICE as possible, but I think I may have lost sight of that in my editing (and, as you mention, influence is tough with 3 Ash). I'll take a second look at influence and ICE.

Couple questions: Do you have a suggestion for replacing Marked Accounts? I'd love to get rid of it and replace it with operation econ. Maybe try to fit in Blue or Green Level?

I'm wondering if I should drop Midway altogether. It's making ICE more taxing, but isn't really contributing to the goal of making agenda's expensive to steal.
