The Engine

I've always like Cache + Scheherazade --> Pawnshop in Exile, so I wanted to make a deck that used it again. Harbinger obviously works well with Pawnshop and Technical Writer goes well with pretty much all of it. This is basically the same idea as those Hayley decks that are popping up, Cache, Scheherazade, Harbinger, and Technical Writer + Pawnshop.

I chose to use Exile because I'm not using Chameleon; so the extra install Hayley provides would just be for more money, which if you've dabbled with this engine you'll know, it doesn't need. So being able to Scavenge and use Clone Chip for an extra card seemed good.

Breakers

Like most Shapers, this deck takes a little time to setup. However, having access to Femme Fatale on turn 1 or 2 via Test Run helps in the early game. Corroder is Corroder and ZU.13 Key Master is a good early game code gate breaker. Basically, I wanted to be able to attack an early agenda if necessary.

I'm only running one of each breaker because this is Shaper, so you have plenty of tutors, and I'm not too worried about my breakers being trashed with Scavenge, Test Run, and Clone Chip.

Scavenge + Femme Fatale is obviously amazing.

The Setup

The setup is pretty obvious, get a Pawnshop setup with Caches and Harbingers. An early Technical Writer is wonderful as well as it procs off of a lot of the cards in this deck. If you happen to have Scheherazade installed as well, great, more money, but it's not necessary.

Odd Choices

Rabbit Hole is probably the strangest card in this deck, but after a quick look it makes more sense. Not only does it thin your deck, but it procs Technical Writer, turns on Underworld Contact, and makes ZU.13 Key Master be free memory (which is necessary to keep the engine going in the late game). Plus the extras installed (for no clicks), you can sell to Pawnshop if you don't have any other targets.

Multithreader is a choice that kind of surprised me. After talking with one of the guys from my group, we put it in to test it out. The thought being it makes running cheaper (especially with Femme) and procs Technical Writer, so why not? Turns out it's a great addition. The 4 extra credits every turn allows you to run comfortably twice pretty much every turn on a glacier style deck.

Dinosaurus isn't really an odd choice, it's just not seen very often, nor is it really in any of the Hayley decks much. This is strictly for Femme Fatale since her strength boosting cost is 2.

Possible Variation

Replacing the Multithreaders with Sahasrara and using the influence to fit in a Legwork could also be just fine. Same goes for Clot if you aren't a fan of that card (I know people who refuse to play it).

Sahasrara offers more money from you engine, but you don't have recurring credits for running, which I personally find more important, but being able to Legwork as Shaper is always a great option.

Final Thoughts

This deck is a lot of fun to play, but pretty mentally taxing to pilot. Similar to the Hayley decks, you have lots of choices each turn, and need to be efficient. The later the game goes, the easier those choices become (it devolves into 3 steps: grab as much money as possible without using Technical Writer. Step 2: decide if Technical Writer money is necessary and react accordingly. Step 3: run somewhere important).

But the early game it quite a bit more difficult. About the only obvious things are, install Pawnshop, Technical Writer, and Scheherazade as soon as you see them. If you see Scheherazade later, just sell it to Pawnshop. Also, I've installed Clot just to sell and proc Technical Writer, which is the mentality I feel is necessary for this deck in this current fast meta; being unconventionally aggressive, which I believe Exile can do quite well (remember Dumpster Gamble).

Have fun and any suggestions are welcome with explanations :)
