Gimme that pin (3-1* AUS Capital Megacity)

Drayven 58

This is the deck I took to the AUS Capital Megacity championship in Canberra. It’s not optimised, and there’s a chance that it’s not even good, but it did score three* wins on the day and carried me into the top half of the standings. For those interested this deck also had a better win rate on the day than AU Co.

The games: R1 loss vs Magdalene The game went long enough for agendas to start building up in HQ. I got lucky when a Cupellation HQ dive only saw one of the three 3 pointers in there. Unfortunately it wasn’t long until a Deep Dive saw two more and sealed the deal.

R4* win vs Phoenix Round 4 was a runner game for me, but it was a short and brutal game against AU Co. My opponent had an unquenchable thirst for Netrunner (as we all do) and offered to play my Corp against me. I am well aware of the weaknesses of this Corp deck and I quickly get to a six point lead. What I fail to take into account are my weaknesses as a player and a Measured Response scores the first win for the deck.

R5 win vs MuslihaT I was slow rolling a Clearinghouse in an iced remote waiting for the runner to end their turn with a less than full hand. I needn’t have worried though. They ran HQ with two cards in the grip and found a Byte! (the only card in HQ)

R6 win vs Sable I lost Tomorrow’s Headline to a Deep Dive. With the centrals not giving up the goods, the runner tried their luck in the remote and died thanks to a single advanced Urtica behind a freshly rezzed Anemone.

I wasn’t expecting to do well with this deck on the day, and only sleeved it up in hope of a shiny neutral pin. I ended up having a blast, and hopefully my opponents enjoyed their games against it too.
