Stealth Kit

b3ar 134

Summer GNK 2015-11-28, Zurich

I was very happy with its performance, the deck went 4-1-0.

I've been fooling around with stealth kit recently. Scrubber is so helpful in this archetype, it's almost an auto-include for me.

Lucky Find is an interesting choice, do you find that you need it given the amount of recurring credits you have available?

I've found a single Parasite to be helpful for taking out low-strength multi-sub ice, but without Clone Chip it is a lot less useful.

I recently put in a Utopia Shard, which has saved my bacon many a time. Plus, it's not a dead draw when the corp is going vegan, which I like.

I generally like RDI better than The Maker's Eye since I find I can normally make 1 very cheap run per turn, so once my rig is up turns are typically taking a poke at R&D, clicking kati, drawing and adding to the stealth pile.

Finally, I have gotten good use out of Same Old Thing, particularly with Legwork.

What changes, if any, have you made since the summer?

Agreed, Scrubber ist super useful. I'm not playing without anymore.

I like to apply a lot of early pressure with Kit. That's why I'm playing The Maker's Eye instead of RDI. Lucky Find also helps keeping up the pressure. Also against Foodcoats, I cannot run so often through stacked Architects and Ichis.

I always prefered getting my breakers out instead of Parasite. It was quite a risk running without the Clone Chips. Not sure now with the MWL.

Utopia Shard is nice. My previous deck was running it.

Finding a slot for Same Old Thing would be nice, especially with the The Maker's Eye.

I love Kit, but I'm not sure where to go from here. Deck slots have been my biggest issue. That's why I cut the Clone Chips. But I'm certainly going back to Professional Contacts. I think I only installed Symmetrical Visage once.

Yeah, I prefer Professional Contacts over Symmetrical Visage, since stealth tends to require a fair amount of digging to get set up.

This is where I was, pre-MWL and this is where I am right now. I dropped a Clot, Legwork, and Clone Chip for Utopia Shard, Test Run, and Same Old Thing. I'm trying it out with more event draw over Professional Contacts, as procon really slows down the early pressure and is too much of a tempo hit to justify after the first few turns.

I think that this has probably drifted a little bit too far from a strong core, so I need to refocus it. Probably try it without the Parasite, which reduces the need for Test Run and Clone Chip further.

I'm currently testing BlacKat. With one stealth credit it breaks Eli 1.0 and similar common ice very efficiently.

That 3 influence seems tough! I'm using Cerberus "Lady" H1 for my fracter. Between test-running it out, scavenging it for a recharge, and over-installing/test-running from the bin, I normally don't have too much trouble.

Here's what I'm on now. netrunnerdb.com

Test-running Cerberus "Lady" H1 sounds expensive. With BlacKat, I'm basically trading influence for deck slots, so I don't need to run Scavenge and Test Runs. I'm running a lot of stealth cards anyway. I dunno, it needs more testing.

Yeah, test run is for sure expensive. That being said, I like the versatility it gives- additional safety net for program destruction / early damage, accelerates startup if your opening hand is heavy on econ and light on stealth, etc.

Scavenge might be overkill, but it has helped me in a pinch a few times (e.g. scavenging an extra refractor for deus ex against jinteki). It might be worth it to change it for a Clone Chip (and drop a legwork, I guess), since that will also help the FA matchup. I hate losing a legwork, though, that card has won me a ton of games.
