Discussion on card choices:

New agenda suite: Pretty obvious. Don't think there's any better configuration, or any reason to tweak it.

Corptown: For noise and DLR val, both otherwise abysmal matchups. If I can protect it, it's usually worth a 2-pointer.

Only 1 EBC: Now that the meta is more about rushing than glaciering, the 1st ability is much less relevant than it used to be. It still counters blackmail but still, doing so makes you a turn slower. Also val decks tend to shave their 3rd blackmail anyway, and now have normal breakers instead of eater, so I'll just play around blackmail like a normal person.

2nd restructure instead of launch campaign: Preference for speed instead of glaciering.

2 changeling: Hopefully this nice midrange ice can start to thrive again now that lady's on the MWL. There will still be lady decks, but hopefully shapers won't also be playing mimic and datasucker as well. It's ok against faust, worse than spiderweb, but spiderweb dies so easy to parasite and was mainly there as an anti-lady card.

Enigma over datapike: Rush instead of glacier. Also there to help protecting turn 1 OAIs (the 2nd ice has to cost 3 or less).

This looks excellent! It turns out that the way to make Weyland good was to make all of the other factions worse. I have a few questions on the list:

What are your thoughts on playing hostile takeover, Elizabeth Mills, and some bad publicity cards?

Can you speak more on cutting spiderweb? With parasite less common, it taxes corroder for the same 3 as changeling for 1 less and packs the faust advantages you mentioned.

I would finally ask where you stand on hive. It's amazing to score early, but is getting that first agenda worth the depreciating value of hive over the game? Especially now that there are fewer ladies around to tax.

@DarlingSensei Here's my thoughts at least. Bad Pub can be crippling to a glacier deck, even one that's trying to rush a little more than a standard glacier. Not finding Elizabeth can really hurt in this scenario. Also, deck space is very tight, so finding room for both a couple 1-pointers as well as Mills leads to taking out good cards.

As for Changeling, it can become a STR 4 Sentry when advanced, which makes Mimic unable to break it without Datasucker support. He even mentions in the description that decks that have Lady probably won't also have Mimic+Datasucker.

You're Blue Sun, so Hive is fine, since once it gets light on subs you can just pick it back up for 5 credits. Sure, it's useless/near useless now, but it did it's job and you got a refund.

wow no spiderweb. that card made all the difference yesterday versus a Hayley Chameleon. without that extra 3 tax on my remote I would have never been able to win. i think i'll keep testing with 2 spiderweb instead of second changeling and meru

Why not 2 Assassins?

Not good in multiples. You could reasonably play 2 but there are only so many slots for cards where the 2nd copy is blank (orion/curtain, late game hives, etc).

My 2 cents:

  • I don't like Corporate Town, since it slows the game down. Building a second remote seems to contradict with being more "rushy".
  • I also don't like Archer for the same reason. Sure it will win you a game once in a blue moon, but otherwise it is a blank card here. Can't see myself forfeiting 2 points without delivering a crushing blow. And Oversighting it doesn't seem to be worth the time also.

Unless you can convince me otherwise @bblum?

Corptown isn't usually a card where you get to decide whether to use it or not based on how the game is going; it's more for matchups where it totally hoses the runner and/or where you can't win otherwise (blueberry pancakes, e.g., or sunny or hayley). Building the 2nd remote sucks but over time you can eat the first remote and eventually leave the corptown naked when you're on game point.

Archer I'm on the fence about. If I score a public support against noise, it's amazing, and makes scoring GFI a lot more palatable. But it's dead most other times. Ran says she likes to OAI it to rush against anarchs, since david doesn't kill it. It's also pretty good against mongoose decks. But I'm considering swapping it for a 3rd assassin or for a changeling.
