Hayley's Garage Sale

Smaug 33

Welcome to Hayley's garage sale! Here, with my buddy Aesop will be bringing you the best deals you can find anywhere! We've got a great 3 deal for anything. That's right, if it's for sale, you can have it for just 3 credits*. We've got everything from mildly used Atman to still very useful Daily Casts. While those fat cats run on their overpriced and expensive Magnum Opus, we offer a bargain value of employment contracts with the Armitage Codebusting group. With the current recession, we think it is perfectly reasonable to sell such a contract for 3 credits!

*Some sales may be duplicated with Harbinger

For those still interested in what we don't have for sale, well that's easy! For the amazing price of 9 credits, we get a The Toolbox that provides so many benefits, it seems like a crim others dont adopt it as their main console. Between that and our 3 Multithreaders, those Corporations will have quite the challenge in keeping us out. Sometimes Aesop and I need some help acquiring more merchandise to sell, and between our supply of Diesel and a Professional Contact, we are generally able to keep our store open all week long, even with regular sales. Eventually we need to start searching other places for things to sell, but thankfully we have Levy AR Lab Access to sell things that those at the lab no longer need.

We know those folks at Jinteki like to put a little extra juice into their system which can fry us if we arent too careful, but we do our best to muffle the effects, at very little cost to us due to our recurring credits. Because of my time with the university, I put quite some importance on regularly studying, with the help of a Study Guide (Studying with the assistance of programs is not against the university rules). Due to the unusual virus running around, some ice has been seen to be less effective such as Tollbooths and Data Ravens as a side effect of Hunting Grounds.

An ideal hand for this deck is hard to say due to the wide variety of econ choices avaliable. Some examples of good hands would be:

Modded + Multithreader + Self-modifying Code followed by some econ or draw

Professional Contacts + Aesop's Pawnshop/Armitage Codebusting which is amazing when your first click is for 1 credit. Remember, activating my ability here is very efficient, more efficient than installing one then using its credits to install the other.

The sooner you get Aesop out, the better you are when you start getting your daily casts.

While setting up (such that you are persuaded not to run), the most efficient turns could easily be two Professional Contacts activations and 1 Armitage Codebusting activation followed by a double install -- Draw 2, gain 4 and install 2 cards is a great way to set up quickly without sending yourself to the poor house.

REMEMBER: SMC and Clonechip can let you install programs from your hand mid run or during the corps turn! Likewise, Harbinger and Hunting Grounds should be used when you are planning on not installing that turn for maximum efficiency.

Some of you folks are worried about matchups. Why wouldn't you be? Big rigs are well known for how slow they set up, but with a halfway decent draw, this rig will set up very quickly thanks to our resources giving us a ton of s every turn to work with, while still having clicks available to install our cards. Multithreader and study guide essentially turns off most codegates as threats or even as a tax.

Against Gagarin, it's essential to be able to read your opponent to be able to tell if they are installing naked agendas or assets. Remember, the less you run, the more likely they will naked install agendas. I've pulled out of a 0-6 deficit against gagarin simply because they couldnt naked install, and couldnt afford to make a server to keep this rig out.

Against NEH/Haarp FA, This matchup is troubling, no denying that at all. So many cards hit the field, and it's hard to pick the right ones when they are dropped. This is more of an issue with Haarp, but we'd rather not be losing so many clicks against NEH as well. Ideally you can deny NEH enough asset econ such that they can't FA through clot wihout having to purge with CVS. Film critic can be swapped with Hunting Grounds if Haarp is a bigger issue than Data Raven + Kitty (since Hunting Grounds helps more than just with agendas).

Against HB Foodcoats, It is really up to how quickly they can set up and get Caprice. Running into a troublesome ash is normally not the worst thing that can happen with our recurring credits, but I'd be lying if I said Caprice wasn't the main reason I've lost these matchups.

Against Non-RP Jinteki, Net-Shield does work, and dont worry about setting up as much as putting pressure on them. The only money you need is for their cheap ice and theiy econ based assets.

Against RP, set up the rig if they aren't trying to flatline you, and pressure Caprice until they are poor. Dont let them score Nisei Mk 2, or this game gets much harder when Caprice is involved (Atman wrecks Excalibur).

Meatdamage Weyland, Make more money than them. Vegan Weyland, use your personal judgement between running and setting up. You don't want them to rez Corp Town.
