I've been working on a Shaper deck list that I enjoy, fits my play style, and can hold its own against competitive decks in the current meta. Kit has always been in the back of my mind, and I think I finally own enough cards to make a list work for her. I like her ability because it allows me to very reliably put pressure on the corp's servers.

This deck was inspired initially by Seamus' 4th place Kit deck at the 2015 UK Nationals, and the core parts of the deck are essentially unchanged. The biggest differences between our lists are because I don't have a full card collection, and because I'm trying to have a few more cards that increase consistency.

I am currently hoping to bring some version of this list to a local store championship, so I would greatly appreciate any feedback on how to improve it!

The deck has fared well against my friends and on Jinteki. I think I'm at 8-2 so far, so I've been very pleased with its performance. I've gotten a spread of wins against RP, Argus, Titan Transnational, HB:ETF, Blue Sun, and a weird psycho-beale NEH deck that didn't use Astro. Both losses were against NBN - I think one was Spark, the other was SYNC.

Here are the problems and specific questions I have:

1.) Asset trashing: The deck runs on a pretty shallow but consistent economy package, usually hovering around 2-6 credits for most of the game. The moment I hit a deck that has too many expensive assets to trash AND I can't get R&D lock fast enough, I tend to run out of gas. I have managed to win against asset-heavy decks by rushing to get an R&D lock out, but even trashing a 2-3 credit asset on turn 2-3 hurts a lot.

2.) Tags and resource trashing: Being tagged hurts me very much. With my economy and draw engines entirely dependent on a combo of Professional Contacts and Kati Jones, plus Ghost Runner for stealth runs, I lose serious tempo when my resources get trashed. The SYNC player who beat me had a tag on me and spent a turn clearing out Ghost Runner, Kati, and ProCon for 3 clicks and 0 credits, and it basically ruined me for the rest of the game. I don't own Film Critic, so I'm not sure if New Angeles City Hall is worth it, but I've considered trying it just for that.

3.) Influence: I am having a very unusual problem in Kit, in that I have more influence than I know what I want to do with. I'm not sold on either copy of Silencer, so I have upwards of 6 influence I could devote to something else. I'm just not sure what cards I could cut to fit something else in. I have thought about Scrubber, Employee Strike, or Crescentus, but I don't own those sets. I have toyed around with Career Fair, but it also takes up valuable deck slots and doesn't help as much late game.

Other cards I've considered are 1-2 Modded, another 1x Escher, and Imp.

If it helps, the cards I own are: 1 Core; Genesis cycle (missing Trace Amount and A Study in Static); Creation & Control; Opening Moves; Double Time; Lunar Cycle (missing Upstalk and The Source); Order & Chaos; Breaker Bay; and The Underway.

You probably don't need the silencers, you should have plenty of stealth credits with cloak and ghost runner.

If you are open to getting A Study in Static, Scrubber helps out a TON in asset-heavy matchups. Deus X is also in that set and helps a ton against trap-heavy Jinteki decks (and can be SMC'ed/clone chipped if you hit a particularly gnarly AP ice).

I like Utopia Shard very much. Since you don't have a ton of HQ pressure, you will likely face a lightly iced HQ and will get to install it for free. It is a great way to defuse kills when you see them coming (and isn't a dead draw like plascrete) or to act like a ghetto Legwork when HQ is loaded.

If you are trying to go MWL-compliant, I suspect the Clone Chips could be cut back a bit. If you still have influence free for Parasite it can be a nice way to deal with annoying ice (esp. Tour Guide, Komainu and Spiderweb).

Also a shout out to Spooned, that combined with Escher can really wreck late game options for the corp.

Don't spend 6 influence on breaking Sentries. GS Shrike M2 and Atman are fine solutions for those times when enough of them stack to tax your Cloaks and Ghost Runners.
