Time to Code 2.0

Edit 2.0: Making use of the Rielle "Kit" Peddler: Transhuman's ability through Omega and Test Run to reduce costs of Omega and Torch.

Thanks to @magikot and @Crauseon for the tips.

Version 1.0:

Making use of Rielle "Kit" Peddler: Transhuman's ability, the deck aims to power up a decoder ( Torch ) through Dinosaurus and easily go through ICE.

The problem comes with servers with more than 1 ICE protecting them. Tinkering should be able to help with unrezzed ICE, and Paintbrush with rezzed ICE. The occasional Femme Fatale can be used on inner ICE.

Combining the cost of paintbrush with the ability to pass through many ice, and the stacking feature of Medium, combined with Same Old Thing ( to replay Amped Up ) and Hyperdriver, I would be able to either access any server, or R&D multiple times.

Magnum Opus for money, Leprechaun for memory and The Personal Touch for tinkering with either Atman or Torch.

IF you're really all in on the boost icebreaker strength thing with personal touch, you might want to consider Net-Ready Eyes. Other than that, I'd probably cut the Feedback Filter, or at least drop to 1 if you're really worried about net damage, since it sadly doesn't prevent the brain damage from Amped Up, since that's unpreventable. Diesel or Quality Time would both be great includes in my opinion, since they're both great for acceleration and finding of combo pieces, which this deck seems to have a few of...

I do really like the edge case of using Scavenge to move a breaker onto the Dino if you don't find it early enough.

Finally: I'd really like to see one Inti, just in case you really need to break a barrier that's at the wrong spot for your Atman.

Really liking the look of this deck, I'll probably give it a spin sometime on Jinteki sometime.

Oh, and one last thing: It probably would't be a bad idea to put the Atmans in either... :)

I don't think you will need 3 SMC

Great! I was actually looking for a cool deck to play a few casuals with tonight - I might just as well do something like this as well. :) I've always wanted to know how Omega works...

I'd add some draws, and change a Feedback Filter into a third Dinosaurus though, just to get the stuff a bit more reliably. Diesel is a great card in almost any Shaper deck, to be sure.

@Tsgstarwars: Thanks for commenting! Yeah, I moved away from the icebreaker strength boost idea.

While it is true that the brain damage from Amped Up cannot be prevented, I cannot afford to lose any cards to net or brain damage, especially since when I do 3 x Same Old Thing and Amped Up, I take 4 brain damage, and that I have a single copy of Amped Up.

In fact, I agree with @say200426, and I'm considering removing all Self-modifying Code and replacing them with a card that either adds to the maximum hand size or reduces meat damage. Maybe I should wait for Guru Davinder...

I also agree with the both of you about Diesel.

Why the Atman though? I don't think it's power counters get covered by Test Run right? Also, it's not very reliable against corps with different ice strengths right?

If any of you test it and find something great or wrong with it, feel free to let me know!

If you're all in on the strength-boost for your Decoder and then Tinkering/Paint Brushing ice, I'd rather go for Yog than Torch, simply because it installs cheaper AND breaks for free.

(Of course, this kind of means dismantling your Amped/Medium influence setup, and ends up voiding the entire point of the Hyperdriver jank.)

Maybe you'd rather go with 2x All-nighter and 1x Levy AR Lab Access than 1x Amped Up and 3x Same Old Thing, especially since reusing Amped Up through Same Old Thing don't give you much more .

Also, no need to deal damages and 3 influence points freed. Think of Yog.0 because it's awesome with Kit and Paintbrush.

That said, your rig is going to be expensive.

I just want to point out that you will need to Paintbrush all the ICE (except the innermost I suppose) again if you want to make more than one run per turn, because both Kit's effect and Paintbrush's effect only lasts for one run. Femme Fatale on the middle R&D ICE is a workable solution but you'll be using a lot of Test Run/Scavenges to get the Femmes and Torch installed.

I enjoy playing Kit decks but I'm kind of concerned that this deck might be quite weak against horizontal or flatline decks.

@MTUCache, @Lupus Yonderboi: Thanks, I didn't know about All-nighter. Will incorporate the changes in the next iteration. Then I can use Yog.0.

Thanks @Zakalwe! You're right...I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for commenting.
