Gingerbread Kate - 5th Stockholm Regional

The best breaker in (this) Gingerbread Kate is Inti.

Coming in to this tournament (25 people, 4 rounds of swiss, top 8 cut) I had no illusions of my chances of winning with this deck: it has no Clot for fast advance, no answers to either superfriends or bathing inside joke, and I have very little experience playing Shaper. That said, the original deck by alientoyshop seemed increadibly fun and something completely different from the types of Anarch decks I'm used to playing. I simply needed a break from Parasites, D4v1ds and Wyldsides.

Too bad I didn't get to use Gingerbread in more than two games - one of which I could have used Inti instead. The first game against NEH saw only Wraparound and Resistor before I won. The second game against Gagarin I installed Gigi and Panta before making my first run, only to realize this guy too would only throw zero/one strength Barriers at me. Third and fourth was ID, and besides two corp games in the cut I used Ginger once or twice in a NEH matchup before dying horribly to 24/7 Traffic Scorched. The deck went 3-1 on the day,

A few alterations from the original:

• No Dino. I put Net-Ready Eyes in instead, which was probably wasted space.
• The added Professional Contacts was installed twice, and both times pulled his weight to be worth it. Other times I expected tags, and so didn't use it.
• Astrolabe, as I expected some assets and I needed the memory for the setup in lieu of the Dino.
• -2x QT, -1x Modded, +1x SMC, -3x Hopper, +1x Plascrete. Nothing exceptional, just some tweaks to better fit the other changes and my playstyle.

In hindsight I could have used a second The Maker's Eye, as I needed multiaccess fast in a couple of games. And no, the deck does not need Clone Chip. It's not the best deck by any stretch, but I think it's a very fun deck to pilot and I will probably keep at it for a while longer.
