Something Something Apocalypse Ashes v0.1

All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.

Come up with a clever name and words to do with apocalypsing out of the ashes, yknow? That's how NRDB works, right?

The moment I opened The Liberated Mind and saw Out of the Ashes, I knew I really wanted to try it in an Apocalypse deck. The click compression has a chance of making it work, it's pretty cheap, and then the cards are removed from the game when you use your Levy AR Lab access to get your deck back! What could possibly go wrong?

This is a sketch and I'm not convinced the deck is that great, but I'm in love with the concept enough that I wanted to share with the world and see if anyone else can do something with this.

The Good

When it actually works, the core combo of the deck does a pretty good job. I stole many of the event ideas from Katepocalypse (such as Indexing and The Maker's Eye for easy R&D access after Apocalypse), and the recursion is just standard Shaper magic. Probably not a whole lot to comment on in terms of those things.

Weird Choices

Account Siphon: I threw this in here because a friend of mine pointed out that "all championship decks have Account Siphon in them". I rarely manage to get to use it at a time when it matters (i.e. when I haven't let the corp get a bunch of credits). Maybe I'm just a bad player though.

Notoriety: I figured that on turns where I can get the Apocalypse off and have the clicks because of Ashes, I might be able to score some easy points from Notoriety. I'm not sure if this is just a win more choice though.

The Bad

I don't have high confidence on the breaker suite at all. Corroder and Gordian Blade do a pretty good job for Code Gates and Barriers, but I find myself really sad about Sentries, especially Tour Guide and some of the high-strength Sentries. I've thought about trying to find ways to get an Eater in here, since I'm not looking to access on the runs where I try to Apoc.

This deck maybe needs more draw in addition to the Professional Contacts and Diesels. Alternatively, perhaps finding room for a Planned Assault or two could be useful.

This deck also takes a while to get set up for both breakers and economy. I've had this turn into "time for a Gagarin deck to get its huge cancerous server setup done". Again, not sure if I'm a bad player or if this deck could use more early aggression.

6 Ashes does take up a lot of deck space.
