Indian R.P. Never-Advance

Cyberzack 91

This is my first attempt at a Sandburg deck. At zero to Rez and four to trash it seems to me Sandburg goes quite well with asset spam as well as glacier. Replicating Perfection means we can rush it out naked and require less ice then decks that would want to protect it. The ice suite is mostly early gear-check oriented. Gear check style ice is great early on but can get blown out late game providing very little tax each encounter. Sandburg fixes this keeping the small ice relevant as long as your economy is robust. The agenda suite is set up to never advance, and because we run three launch campaign, two tech startup, and two caprice, the runner will have a hard time deducting what is going on. Each install into our scoring remote could be an agenda or one of those seven cards.

This still needs a lot of work so a good chunk of the influence is completely variable, i'm not at all sure about the 'splashed' spiderweb.

Mumba Temple is still worth it post MWL2. Here it means most of our rezzes will actually be gaining us money. (which can throw off their sandburg math mid-run)

Don't Ice up Sandburg until at least mid-game. Trust that four to trash it and two clicks (with the R.P. ability) is enough of a tax early to put them behind. Don't turtle up with this, this is not a Sandburg list where you end the game at fifty credits. Go quick and use caprice to push agendas through.

One additional little trick. If they haven't seen a braintrust or medical breakthrough they will probably think a single advanced card is a nisei. They will break their back to prevent you from scoring a Nisei. Letting them score the first medical breakthrough for two clicks and a moderate lump of credits is great for us, so if you're not flooded its great to try and push that through.

I just testplayed this on Jinteki.net and had a blast! :D Very fun to play!
Spending Mumba s to rez a Campaign and get paid for it via Stock Exchange is an aweome economy boost.

Played some more and won 5 out of 5. This is crazy!

I almost feel like the deck could an additional piece of ICE, especially something nasty to put at outermost central server position (2nd Komainu?), but I don't really know, what to cut... Maybe a Tech Strartup.

The original build of this deck had fifteen ice. I'm not yet convinced either way. It's gonna be a trade for more consistency of ice for less things to bait the run with. I'm pretty sure the cards to cut would be either Tech Startup or Launch Campaign. The third copy of Launch Campaign is there less for credits than it is as something to bait the run with. But obviously more credits can never be a bad thing with Sandburg. Other than that I tried a version without the Daily Business Show, and only two jackson's, but had too many issues with agenda flood, so I decided to add the DBS as sort of a 'pseudo jackson' effect.

So no Sundew then?

No subliminal? Turns into a big cash boost with stock exchange.

@Pushover Originally I had a copy of subliminal, and perhaps it needs to go back in. My thinking was I was trying to add more economy that could potentially bait the run, I swapped out the two of them for a third launch campaign and a second tech startup. I may go back for some more testing. It absolutely gains an incredible amount of money.

The Strategy for this deck (at least attempted strategy) was to create a Sandburg deck that is not the standard "earn as much money as you can and lock them out" type of strategy.

Instead I'm trying to create a 'must trash' target in Sandburg, and as an added bonus the surprise Rez can cause some serious damage to the runner through cobra and komainu. This deck is trying to end the game around the twenty credit mark if things go right. (However often enough the economy package can spiral out of control)

So with that in mind I wouldn't add copies of sundew to the economy package, it would be a matter of swapping sundew out for some of the existing setup

I prefer the economy assets i'm running over sundew in this list because they cost more to trash and they gain money when they are rezzed whereas sundew would not. i prefer launch campaign to bait runs with the never advance strategy. I don't have enough ice to protect all three centrals as well as build a scoring remote (and throw an ice or two over sandburg in the late game) So the 2 to trash on Sundew is a bit to fragile here.

R.P. and Sundew are a match made in heaven though, and I'm anxious to try a more glaciery Replicating Perfection Sandburg build with tons of credit generation. Sundew would be an mvp there for sure.

I really like this list, it does something interesting with Sandburg I hadn't thought of. I'll probably play around with the ice a bit (I prefer more spiky ice in my rp asset spam) then take it for a few games since it looks fun :) Also love the idea of Chimera in an Indian Union Stock Exchange deck.

@EnderAI Actually think philotic needs to be in here. I am a long time R.P. player and have as such become visciously addicted to a beautiful substance known as a Nisei Counter. I thought about philotic but the Nisei token hooked me hard. Alas, now that you mention it again i must let go of my addiction to post-caprice run ends... and go farther into what this deck is trying to do. Never Advance. I'm going to slot the Philotic.

This is fun to play, after some rounds i switched a Braintrust with Philotic Entanglement and one Launch Campaign for a one of Voter Intimidation. Just want one card to threat annoying ressources. And Voter Intimidation is great vs a loaded Kati Jones or Political Operative.

So does this deck just fold to Whizzard?

22 Aug 2016 Cyberzack

@D4KENYup Philotic is better. I'm using philotic in my updated list. Honestly i just strait-up forgot about it when constructing the agenda suite. I tried voter intimidation for a while but eventually I took it out... because unfortunately @KidChemois right it completely gets wrecked by whizzard, especially whizzard with employee strike. I ended up making room for two cerebral static on my latest build.

Now with Rumor Mill I am actually considering to try and find room for a third static.
