Brainchip Banking

Walker Net Ranger 139

Much like the Defective Brainchip your average runner is probably too smart to implant, this strategy is probably unreliable at best. but if it works it could be a beauty to behold.

So the deck assumes the runner will be richer than you, and there probably will be no opportunities for a Trace-based kill. Runners can have their money, we are a generous bank. All we ask in return is your brain.

The idea is to get a Brainchip, Cerebral Cast, 2x Scorch and 1x Subcontract in hand. No problem. The agenda choices help assemble these components if you can rush an Atlas, Future is now, etc behind some early ice. Then wait for the runner to do what they do best: run.

Now you play a Brainchip click 1, and Cast for click 2. Do they have less than 4 cards in hand? Whatever happens next is bad for them, just make sure to win the psi. If they have 4 cards in hand, they might think the tag is fine. Subcontract will learn them otherwise.

You can even play a couple Casts early if the runner is being aggressive and you don't have the combo yet. You can tear the memories from their soft fleshy brain tissue and Archive them for later use.

An Edge of World might fit well in here to capitalize on the threat of Titan never-advance, but Archived probably works better for consistency I think.
