Malzahar 2.3

Pretty simple deck, but it feels like what I've always wanted Anarch to be since I played Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire in the core set. It simply melts ICE and profits from it. It's not unbeatable but is a good deck that I'm sure a better pilot could crush with.

Game plan is a normal Reg-ass Anarch: Draw cards looking for your pieces in the early game while applying pressure. Hopefully you've found either Desperado or Scrubber so you can actually be threatening with your early runs without ruining your tempo. Midgame your breakers are whatever breaker you can find and Parasite + Datasucker/Null: Whistleblower ability. This is where Null: Whistleblower shines and is the only time I'm happy I'm not Whizzard: Master Gamer, as I don't normally have enough Datasucker tokens for the install. Try to avoid parasiting Code Gates, as you have Yog.0 and the Corp will trash them for you. Most games are closed out by Medium Dig, with a nice mixture of Parasite for anything annoying and Bhagat to strategically trash cards off the top of R&D I don't want the Corp seeing. Desperado helps again here as it's not uncommon for me to actually get into R&D for free and the cred makes HQ runs and Déjà Vu+Parasite possible without giving up any tempo in the late game.

The deck as it is crushes Glacier, as you would expect Parasite recursion and Rumor Mill would. Unfortunately the only way to really combat HHN is to make sure you have at least 8 creds, as the deck is not made to create large pools of credits. I've found the only way to really beat CTM is with both Desperado and Scrubber out. Some people may want to replace one of the Rumor Mills with a second Scrubber, however I found Sandburg stupidly annoying without any D4v1d and Rumor Mill is the only answer I could put in.

Etymology of the name?

LoL, one if the first decks I saw when comparing my first draft of a Null deck was called Void Prophet. Malzahar: The Void Prophet is the same and tagline of a character in League of Legends, and while I haven't played LoL in 3 years, when I saw that, and knew that the plan was to melt the ICE in front of R&D, sort of like that characters ultimate ability, I just couldn't think of a better name.

Maybe it should have been Nullzahar, but I'm admittedly not creative.

Lol! I was hoping you'd say that. I've never actually played as Malzahar :(. I'll have to see if I can come up with a deck appropriately named "Karma." Shouldn't be too difficult to think of something...perhaps some kind of combination of all the Hindu-themed Shaper cards, piloted by Jesminder Sareen: Girl Behind the Curtain.
